County-managed Scappoose RV Park sits along a busy road where large trucks frequently pass, creating a notably active atmosphere for campers. The forested campground accommodates RVs up to 50 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections, plus amenities like showers, WiFi, and a dump station.
Large trees provide overhead cover throughout the park, and families appreciate the on-site playground for children. The proximity to Scappoose's airport means occasional aircraft noise, while the roadside location puts campers close to regular truck traffic. Recent management changes have focused on improving cleanliness and safety conditions across the facility.
Sites back directly against the main road, making the traffic feel particularly close to camping areas. The park operates year-round with both drive-in and walk-in access options, and reservations are available for planning ahead. Bayport RV Park & Campground offers another county option about four miles north for those exploring different settings.
"On the positive side it has big beautiful trees and a playground for the kids," notes Sophia S., highlighting features that work well despite the road noise. Campers seeking full hookups at budget-friendly rates will find the $7-31 nightly cost structure accommodating for extended stays.
