Very Nice

I grew up going here and i have so many awesome memories. my grandpa owns a boat and keeps it on the lake. The bathrooms are surprisingly nice and there is a playground as well. It can sometimes be a little dirty especially trash laying around but overall it’s an amazing place

Portage Lake State Park

This park was very well maintained. The signs were easily identifiable with where each roadway led, along with each trail was marked. There was plenty of parking, and the beach at the lake was beautiful. The park hosted a cardboard boat race that I participated in and there were absolutely no problems with anything during the event. The staff were great! Also the park is pet friendly which is a huge plus if you are looking to take your furry friend for a hike.
