While not the type of campground we normally try to book, it fit our needs for this trip perfectly. The bathrooms are clean and nice, and the landscape was well maintained. I could picture my father in law loving this place.
I wasn’t super thrilled when we first pulled in, but after exploring the campground it’s clear the folks that run it are campers. It is well planned out and the dachshunds have a blast.
Beautiful campground even if the sites are unlevel. So many trails close. If you like peace and quiet, and don’t mind being unplugged, you should check this place out.
Had a great time early in the season. Dog friendly and quiet.
We always prefer parks to private RV parks. That being said, camp sites are very close together. I could hear the neighbors conversation, and they weren’t being all that loud. Definitely a pretty park though
As a rule we always try to stay in parks if possible. Really like the layout here, and the k9s love it. We couldn’t see the lake from the camper, but in the woods we could see the lake and the camper from the same spot.
A lot to do. We had bad weather coming in so we didn't stay as long as we would have liked to.
When we booked our site, the camp website showed cabins on the lake. We booked site 88 for our glamping, but a water leak at site 90 had our water off. Site 111 was available for the night right on the lake. We were happy to pay the difference to spend a night with the lake right outside our bedroom window. The water was back on in site 88 the next day so we enjoyed the rest of our stay in a beautiful site 5 minutes from the lake.
Easy in and out, great for folks like us who don’t bring a car. Clean, but not much shade.
Friendly staff, beautiful lake. The shower facilities were clean.
