This magnificent state park is Ohio’s largest state park, with 17,229 acres of recreational facilities available to visitors. Salt Fork State Park camping is possible at more than 200 individual campsites, open year-round.
Pets are permitted on all sites. Sites 44-60 are electric. Sites 1-43 and 61-95 are non-electric. Sites 65-81 are tent camping only.

American Electric Power (AEP) campgrounds are free of charge but require a permit. A permit can be obtained from the link below, the AEP office in McConnelsville, Ohio, regional offices of the Ohio Division of Wildlife, or at any of the regional sporting goods or bait stores surrounding the Recreation Areas. If visitors plan to fish or hunt, state fishing and hunting licenses are required.
We have a beautiful 20 acre lake. It's 60 ft deep with crystal clear water and is great for swimming and fishing. Kayaking welcome too. We also have a couple other ponds available for fishing as well. We raise fresh water prawn and bluegill in the summertime. In late September we have fresh shrimp available. Lots of waterfowl and deer here to see.

Jesse Owens offers four no-fee campgrounds. Campers should follow the self-registration process. Campsites may be occupied on a first-come, first-served basis with a two-week maximum stay. All other state park camping rules apply. NOTE: One camping area — Sand Hollow — closes for the winter season.
