NOT A FAMILY CAMPGROUND

Not a safe environment for children. The little man at the desk is ok with it too, he claims he kicked us all out but my video I took when confronting him on the situation differs. He also keeps deleting reviews and replying back with blatant lies. If you read through the negative reviews you can see he can’t admit when he’s wrong, it’s always everyone else who’s wrong. I don’t want money back from this joke of a campground and I don’t care what the owner has to say. What I want is to save everyone else from wasting a perfectly good camping trip on a trashy place. It was so bad we DECIDED on our own to leave and camp elsewhere. Aside from the sketchy seasonal campers, the amenities also are trash. The pond is all muck, sites are water and electric only with dirt pads. I have never seen such a hillbilly set up. The pool is ok. Dump station was probably my favorite amenity, dumping our tanks to leave that place! But even that is set up at the entrance so when dumping you can block the incoming campers. I will never be back to this place, let me verify with the video I took, WE WERE NOT KICKED OUT. We left on our own because our CHILDREN DID NOT FEEL SAFE!

Great family place

Park on grass. Water and electric but no sewer. They pump out weekly. Nice pool and patio. Music and events. Fun place to stay. We spent a month here.

Ok

This was an overnight stay on our way to Pennsylvania. It would be a bonus for big rigs as the pull Throughs are flat and easy to get into. We tend to prefer a back in because it usually gives us a bit more protection on the backside. Unfortunately, the site we were assigned took three blocks to level up, the the power was on the wrong side and our picnic table was in the back area of another camper. The bathroom was nice and close and handy. Some great effort has been made to make it attractive with two-tone tile but that is all overshadowed by the amount of spiders and bugs. I am a full-time RV year and shower all over the United States and this was one of the buggiest ever. The majority of this campground is for seasonals. There are some very nice seasonal lots with a small pond in their back Yard. The owner was very friendly and helpful on the phone. Serves a variety of needs.

Thank you for leaving this detailed review about your overnight stay. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and we are glad that our pull-through sites were convenient for your big rig.

We want to address the concerns you raised, as your visit was a snapshot of a previous era. We are happy to let you know that Gotta Getaway RV Park has been under new ownership since 2021, and we have taken this exact feedback to heart to make significant improvements across the park.

  • Back-In Sites & Utilities: The back-in sites, like the one you mentioned needing three blocks to level, have been completely addressed. We have installed new, level gravel pads across all those sites. Additionally, we corrected the issue with the utility hookups; the electric pedestals are now correctly positioned for easy access and flow.
  • Shower House & Pest Control: We are so sorry to hear about the bug situation in the shower house. Your feedback was critical in correcting this. The bathroom facilities are now regularly serviced by a professional pest control company to maintain a comfortable, clean, and bug-free environment. Also, we have installed proper doors on all the shower stalls for improved privacy.

We are actively working to balance the needs of our wonderful seasonal community with modernizing our overnight and short-term sites. We would love the chance to show you the extensive upgrades we’ve made and have you experience the new and improved Gotta Getaway RV Park on your next trip to Pennsylvania.

Safe travels, and we hope to welcome you back soon!
