Bluegrass Campground is a family-friendly, family-owned campground in Swanton, Ohio, under new ownership since 2026 and open year-round. We welcome campers for everything from weekend getaways to extended stays.
Conveniently located near Oak Openings Preserve and the Toledo area, Bluegrass offers RV camping, tent camping, and cabin rentals in a relaxed, welcoming campground atmosphere.
Our location makes Bluegrass a great home base for exploring Northwest Ohio and beyond. We're close to Oak Openings Preserve and miles or nearby hiking and biking trails, as well as the Toledo Zoo, the Toledo Museum of Art, local golf courses, and other Toledo-area attractions. Lake Erie and the Lake Erie Islands are within easy reach for a day trip, and Cedar Point is about an hour and 20 minutes away. We're also conveniently located near the Ohio Turnpike (I-80/I-90), making Bluegrass an easy stop for travelers passing through the area.
During our main camping season, weekdays tend to be quieter and relaxed, while weekends bring more activity around the campground. We offer family-friendly activities and special events throughout the season, along with a fishing pond, playground, camp store, propane, laundry facilities, and plenty of opportunities to relax, have fun, and enjoy time together.
And when the traditional camping season winds down, Bluegrass stays open. Year-round camping is available with modified winter amenities and services, making us a convenient option for campers who need a place to stay during the colder months as well.
