Come enjoy the great outdoors with family and friends in the rolling hills of Western North Carolina at Emberglow Outdoor Resort. We’ve assembled [one-of-a-kind lodging options](<https://emberglowoutdoorresort.com/#lodging-options>) on 72 acres in a beautiful private valley, complete with spring-fed creeks and a night sky of a billion stars. We’re conveniently situated between Asheville, Charlotte, Greenville, and Columbia. At Emberglow, you can play outside on your own terms, limit your travel time, and disconnect from the daily hamster wheel. It is our mission to deliver to our guests an exceptional place to enjoy the great outdoors with a variety of comfortable lodging options.

Enjoy full access to my 4 acre farm in a beautiful valley in the Blue Ridge foothills, 15 minutes from Lake Lure & Chimney Rock; 20 minutes from Tryon Equestrian Center.  Also, easy access to Asheville, Hendersonville, and Black Mountain. Plus restaurants are only 5-15 minutes away.

Amazingly, you'll also have access to the full bathroom/shower in my lovely home; and full access to all the fresh water you might need.  All CDC recommended practices are in place.

It has a beautiful fire ring under a lovely white pine (please bring your own firewood). In addition, I have a charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal). 

My only requests are to please remove your shoes when you come in to use the facilities and properly dispose of trash and cigarette butts (please pack out your trash).  I look forward to hosting you!!

Hidden Flower Tiny Farm

Mountain Stream RV Park is at about 1800′ elevation in the middle of the Pisgah National Forest, nestled in a narrow valley surrounded by mountains on all sides. Beautiful Buck Creek flows through this valley and along two sides of the campground. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only about 3 miles away, but it’s 5 miles by road.

We are surrounded by gorgeous mountain scenery. You can take in many of the interesting attractions that are only a short drive away or you can just relax by the stream and listen to the cold clear water flowing over the rocky stream bed. And speaking of the stream, there’s trout in that thar’ water. All of our sites have full hook-ups – power (30 & 50 amp), water, sewer and cable TV.

## Overview

Carolina Hemlocks Recreation Area sits in the scenic mountains of Pisgah National Forest. This is a great place for small to medium-sized groups to swim, fish, tube, hike, camp, picnic and simply relax in the cool shade of the forest.

## Recreation

The river provides endless hours of fun for families and water enthusiasts, including swimming and tubing. Anglers can also try their luck for trout and smallmouth bass from the shore. Picnickers will enjoy relaxing in the shaded picnic shelter set amidst the deep woods. After eating, visitors can take a leisurely walk along a one-mile trail or get a workout on a 3.8-mile trail.

## Facilities

Carolina Hemlocks Recreation Area offers 35 primitive campsites, sites equipped with picnic tables, tent pads, lantern posts and campfire rings with grills. The facility provides hot showers and restrooms with flush toilets. Campers can purchase firewood, ice, tee shirts, souvenirs.

## Natural Features

As the name suggests, Carolina Hemlocks Recreation Area is shaded by a thick hemlock forest with a mix of deciduous trees and rhododendrons. The facility is adjacent to the South Toe River and sits at an elevation of 2,900 feet.

Visitors can enjoy scenic driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway or hiking in Mount Mitchell State Park.

The campground is convenient to a variety of cultural and natural attractions, including art and music venues, shopping and dining in Asheville, scenic driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway, numerous hiking trails and lakeside recreation. Recreation Visitors have a number of different activities to choose from. Kids love the lake's sandy swimming beach and anglers enjoy the calm waters for trout fishing. The French Broad River, popular for fishing, is also nearby. Lake Powhatan also offers visitors boat rentals during the summer season (Memorial Day to Labor Day) to paddle around the lake. Note that use of personal watercraft is STRICTLY PROHIBITED due to potential introduction of foreign material to the Lake Powhatan riprarian ecosystem. The forest is known for its hiking and mountain biking trails, several of which are located near the campground. Visitors wishing to learn more about the area can attend interpretive programs during the summer. Facilities The shaded, private campsites are organized into four loops, all within walking distance of the lake. The facility provides picnic tables, tent pads, lantern posts and campfire rings with grills, in addition to restrooms with hot showers and flush toilets. A few sites have full hookups. 12 glamping tents are available in the upper Hardtimes Loop. Campers can purchase ice, firewood, and other small sundry items from the on-site campground store. Natural Features The campground is situated in a heavily wooded area on the banks of Lake Powhatan in the Appalachian Mountains of western North Carolina. The elevation is 2,200 feet. The surrounding land boasts mile-high peaks, cascading waterfalls and slopes thickly forested with hardwoods and conifers. Nearby Attractions Among the more popular nearby destinations are Sliding Rock, Looking Glass Falls, the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, The NC Arboretum and the Biltmore Estate. Lake Powhatan Campground

Located along 1600 ft of the North Toe River, Buck Hill Campground is the perfect place for families to relax and play! We offer sixty-nine large shady RV sites, each equipped with picnic tables, fire pits, and full hookups with 20, 30, and 50 amp service. 

The campground features 144 acres of hiking trails in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Enjoy a lazy ride down the river on one of our river tubes, spend the day fishing from our trout filled waters stocked by the State Hatchery, or enjoy a challenging hike to the top of Buck Hill Mountain!  

Primitive tent campers will enjoy our open grassy fields overlooking our pond, as well fire rings, picnic tables, water spigots, and several wooden deck pads. For those that like to camp but prefer to sleep on a bed as opposed to pitching a tent, enjoy our camping cabins!! And if you prefer “glamping” then our new tiny home cabins provide all the amenities of home! If you are looking for a quiet family & pet friendly campground, you’ve just found your new home away from home!

Buck Hill Campground

Located alongside the North Toe River, these beautiful camping rentals make the perfect glamping escape! The 16x20 tents offer different bed and floor plans. Each tent has lighting and electrical hookup. Glampers will enjoy cozy linens and furnishings, plenty of privacy, and close access to the shared facilities on-site which include Men and Women restrooms with hot water showers. Guests can park their vehicle right behind their tent. Great for romantic weekends or a family trip! **The River Camp is situated between the Toe River and an operating railroad. There is no set schedule on when the train runs. During contruction and the time ive lived on the property it is minimal. The kids seem to love it and it hasnt become a nuisance, more of a novelty to see an old train carving through the mountains!**
