The Gnomes Yome - An Incredible Escape into the Hoot Owl Woods

My girlfriend and I spent a couple nights in the Gnomes Yome during the summer and I am still thinking back to our time there all the time. Evan was a gracious host and the Yome was an amazing place for us to hide away from the world surrounded by the beautiful WNC mountains. We were pleasantly surprised to find that Hoot Owl is 45min or less from all of the hiking you could ever want to do in this region. Whether you want to hit hawksbill for one of the best views of the gorge and some lead climbing, take a journey over to the chimneys, or just want to spend a day in downtown Asheville this is the perfect location. We also just noticed the new addition of the Wild Fairy Yome which looks like a great option for us and a couple of our friends and we are planning our next trip there in May.

Thanks again Evan for such a beautiful get away. We’ll be back soon!

Natures cure

I had the pleasure of staying at the Gnomes Yome in May of 2022 and was anxious to return for a second visit in October. It was an epic experience. The ride there on the blue ridge parkway is amazing and even the dirt road is exciting as it gives you a sense of adventure and freedom. But honestly there is no feeling that can match waking up to the birds chirping and the tree tops all around you with the gorgeous view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The peace and tranquility of the surroundings just wisked away all of my usual day-to-day worries. I don’t have a lot of experience camping but I will say I had no trouble acclimating to a stay in the gnomes yome for the weekend. Evan has thought of everything you would need for your stay. I brought wine thinking I would be drinking out of plastic disposable cups but true to the vision of Outercamp there were glasses provided for wine so instead I enjoyed a glass on the deck while overlooking a gorgeous moonlit view of Dobson Knob framed by the lustrous native trees. It was so breathtaking I couldn’t help but FaceTiming(cell service is great) family members to experience the view along with me. Evan was a such a gracious host. He also had great insight on hikes and sites nearby. Don’t miss out on hiking the nearby Linville Gorge

Amazing experience in the blue ridge mtns!

My stay in the yurt was an amazing experience! Waking up to the Blue Ridge Mountains in the morning over a nice cup of Juan Valdez is unmatched!! The trail to the waterfall and peacefulness in the air is something I will come back to visit for years!
