Best family campground

We had the best weekend at Steele Creek! We went the 3rd weekend in October and the fall leaf color was gorgeous! The close proximity to Linville Falls, Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway was perfect. We will definitely be back to explore the area more. It was cool outside but we saw several kids playing in the creek and it looked fun. We will have to come back in the summer to enjoy the water.

Love this place

A16 was the camp spot. Checking in was as easy as pulling into the park, coming to a stop sign with a “camp host” ask if we had reservations (we did) she brought us a little info on the park and directed us on where our camp site was. We stayed two extra days and enjoyed the relaxing waters here.

Great weekend!

Can up on a spontaneous camping trip and had a blast! The water was clear with a small beach. Friends of my went and paddled the Wilson Gorge close by. Tubed down the river, just plenty to do for a weekend trip.

Water everywhere

A lot of the sites have water beside them. Bathrooms were clean. There is a store on property that has things you may have forgotten and a grill

Great for everyone!

Hikes, The river, the activities the camp ground provides!

Great Family Escape

Steele Creek Park has multiple camp sites available for any type of camping you are looking for! There are primitive campsites for those who only want to “rough it”, sites indicated for tent or pop-up with water and electricity, 30 amp and 50 amp sites. a large portion of the sites are located directly on the creek. There are multiple bathhouses available. The staff is very pleasant. This campground also allows dogs.
