My wife and I stayed here with our 2 daughters. The campsite was spacious, flat and shaded. There was plenty to do for the kids for the weekend. The bath house was very nice and clean. The camp host drove his golf cart around selling firewood. Will definitely return

I was there alone and had the whole campsite to myself. The camp host was so kind. He always made sure me, my horses and my grandson were comfortable and safe!

I showed up after hours on a motorcycle looking for an overnight tent site. They didn't have tent sites available in the after hours check in. Luckily, John, who works maintenance, was near by. He opened up the office, checked me into a tent site and figured out how to give me a military discount even though that is not his job. John saved my night! The tent site was clean, level, grass and water and electric worked great. There was some noise from the interstate but expected in a tent. Restroom and shower facilities were clean and functional. My only staff interaction was with John and he was outstanding in customer service and going over the top to take care of getting me set up. Thank you!

This place was the first place we stopped along our trip to test out the new camper we just purchased, and this place was so wonderful and fun. We played mini golf, had a view of the lake, and enjoyed a great campfire on our little porch they provided. We truly had so much fun even though we only stayed one night! Can’t wait to come back.

Six points @ Raven Micro Farm LLC is a fully loaded Glamping site. Equip with a Bell tent, thick Japanese cotton sleeping mat, linens, full-size propane grill, cookware, utensils, dishware, and more.
This is a walk-in site, bring your hiking boots. The property is slightly hilly.
Be advised that the site is private excluding when we are out doing farm chores or as the animals are rotated.

I am staying here for two weeks because I have a membership and because I am WFM and it enables me to travel.
I heard mixed reviews about this campground but since I had a 1000 Trails membership, I figured it was worth checking out.
It was a beautiful drive from Virginia and though we arrived in early evening, the Rangers were very nice and helped us get checked in.
The sight was a little uneven and took a bit to level but it is surrounded by trees and very quiet. Most of the yẹar round resident had some kind of Halloween decoration up so the park looked great. They even had a little haunted house set up for the kids.
All in all, this is a very pleasant campground and makes the membership worth it. It's quiet, it's pretty, and you are right between Lexington and Winston Salem. I'm looking forward to coming back over Christmas.

As a beginner too RV camping, this location was an excellent beginning. The campground host were courteous and friendly and they assisted me in backing in my trailer. The bath house was an unexpected luxury and was immaculately maintained through the park service. Lastly, it’s in a beautiful area with a lot of available outdoor activities.

ScoutStayed here overnight. Site was not even close to level. Recent blacktop not properly compressed. Had to use Anderson leveling buckets only on front of motorhome to level. The next morning they had sunken into the soft blacktop. I tried to call office, there was no answer so I left a message. Later that day I received 25 threatening and demeaning texts from the owner. Later, that day the owner arbitrarily charged my credit card $500.00. Avoid this campground at all costs.

I found my happy place here at Hippie Holler! No kids or loud obnoxious other campers, felt at home, safe,understood and able to relax completely. Hidden Gem for the neurodivergants and chill seekers. Cool solar lights made it trippy ful lol
Guidestayed here for 3 nights.my spot was in the woods tight spot for 42 ft trailer and no area next to the camper to sit unless you want to fall back from the steep grade .
lake was very pretty and very busy . if you don't own a boat there is not much to do. I. thought it was very noisy and crowded.
GuideVery nice KOA Journey! Extremely well maintained and clean. We stayed here for 4 nights. You will hear the road 24/7 due to proximity of the interstate but its convenient to run chores or pull during your travel. The sites were fairly spacious for this type of place.
Starlink was great for connectivity in most sites. Some sites are shaded around the edges and would be tough for starlink.

ScoutI am curious about why the listing states that the campground is closed. I am writing this from my campsite in the campground! It closes on Christmas day, but as far as I know, that is the only day of the year when it closes.
The campground is in a forest on the shores of Lake Norman. Well maintained hiking trails branch out from the campground. RV sites are paved, with a picnic table and fire ring on a compacted gravel base next to each site.
Sites and facilities are very well maintained. I made an off-hand comment to a staff member about drainage at our site, and the next time we visited, the problem had been satisfactorily addressed.
ScoutWe were traveling form ma to SC. I needed a place to rest for the night and we went here. Unfortunately during the night or cat got out and we didn't realize it until morning. The staff there went out of there way to look for our cat unfortunately we didn't find him. We are grateful for all they did including a couple of free nights so we could continue to look for our cat
GuideIt’s the quietest stay we’ve had yet, and we go camping nearly every weekend. I will say, having the ADA tent site makes a huge difference. The regular tent “loop” is just one big open field with few trees around it, so there’s absolutely no privacy. If you end up with someone who want to be rowdy, you are in for a long night.
The gates close at 5pm during the fall/winter. Slightly around that time, the retired police chief came around to introduce himself and give me his cell number. He is just up the street and was kind to offer this for extra safety.
No showers, which we didn’t know until after we got here, saw the one bathroom, and realized there was not a shower. There is an outdoor shower.
The water at our site is not working which is a bummer but we can use the water at the outside shower. It’s non-potable but we have a filter and boil it before using it.
It’s nice to have a little store (in the office) to grab bait, snacks, or other goodies.
LegendI camped here with a friend and our dogs. We were in campsite 14. It was very shaded and surrounded by woods. The tent pad was super spacious and made of gravel. There was also a picnic bench, fire pit, and a lantern pole. The campground also has beautiful little cabins. The bathouse was absolutely top notch and super clean. The park staff takes very good care of the area. Unfortunately there are some little beaches along the trails that have trash, mostly from fishing. The park offers some very nice hiking trails. This time I just did the Lakeshore trail and the dogs had a blast. We would camp here anytime again.
ScoutWe made a reservation well in advance but the owner decided to cancel our confirmed reservation to accommodate a previous renter who decided to stay longer. THANK YOU YATES FAMILY! Obviously there was no consideration if we were left without a place to stay. Did they offer help finding another campground, NO. Did they offer to compensate us, NO.

TravelerArrived at park and followed directions to camping only to find out check in is on the other side of park past where we entered. Park is maybe too big and hilly. Want to go to swimming beach? You'll have to drive. Want to get wood, ice or vending? Several mile drive. Bike trails? Miles away. Want to drop a boat in the water? You guessed it, mile away. Very steep parking pad so your leveling blocks or jack are probably useless. The tent pad was very level although. Bath/shower house was very nice even with the men's room door broken and wouldn't shut. Fresh water spigot in camp was broken. We had some rain and a huge tree fell on out campsite destroying some of our gear and narrowly missing crippling or killing us both.
