Peaceful

Not alot to do at the campground so if you're looking for alot of activities for the kids might not be a good place. If you're looking for peace and quite it's a nice place. Big rigs have to be in the open areas, so you won't get a wooded site. Nice playground for kids. Little store with alot inside. Owner is very friendly and helpful.

Spruce Creek

Great spot close to the Adirondacks, mountain biking and climbing not far away. We actually have a seasonal spot, but there is a wide variety of options. Sites are large! Bathrooms are new and clean.

Diamond in the rough

Ok so this place is operated by one older man. When I asked if he was a one man show, he shared that his wife used to help but isn't well. Given that information, this place is incredible. The property is huge and surrounded by the beautiful creek, which is more like a river. The roads within the campground are dirt and pretty rough, and there are some sites in disrepair, but these are small prices to pay for this beautiful place. Speaking of small prices, we got a water and electric site, ice, and a huge bundle of firewood for 38 bucks total. We swam in the creek and the kids enjoyed the pirate ship and castle playground. Our site was way in the back and really private. Sites 2 and 3 looked absolutely beautiful- right on the creek with spruce trees and easy water access. Whatever they cost they are worth it. The guy has a nice little camp store with anything you need. He leads you to your site, helps you back in, and doesn't leave til he knows your power is working. I love the place and am impressed by the owner. Even wears a Spruce Creek Campground shirt that says "get back into nature." Obviously loves what he does and does his best. It is a very quiet place where you only hear the sounds of nature.

Quiet and comfortable

Our first camping trip in many years. We visited here as its only a forty minute drive for us. The owner very helpful showing you to the campsite. I wanted a site that received some sunlight for solar. Then it rained all day. Lol. The sites near us all flat with decent space.

Quiet and Off the Beaten Path

We stayed here for two nights to try out our new 31 foot Winnebago. We chose a site that had sewer, water and electric. Upon arrival my husband told the owner that we had never set up before and he came and walked us through the whole process. He also gave us tips on equipment to get etc. We have 2 young boys, there is a small playground available, the creek which both boys swam/waded in and our older son went fishing. The area that we stayed did not have my trees, but there is another area that was full that is wooded. We will likely stay here again as it is close to our home. Also, pets are allowed.
