Quiet campground

We enjoyed our weekend here. Our site was next to the creek and relaxed to the quiet sound of water flowing by. Purchased firewood that was quite competitive in price compared to local grocery/convenience stores that sell kiln dried wood here in NYS. I’d say about double the amount of wood. Being in May the trees had not fully gotten their leaves so there was a bit more sunshine. I’d imagine in a month or so it will seem more wooded.

All about the Herkimer Diamonds here

A fine campground with it's own Herkimer Diamond Mine walking distance (or you can drive up your vehicle) to the mining area. A fairly small, nicely wooded campground. A bit dated in the free shower/toilet buildings but the staff kept them very clean and stocked. There is a pavilion for group or rainy day activity. Staff is extremely friendly and informative about the mining (extra charge).

Nestled in the woods, a creek and Herkimer Diamonds!

Looking for adventure this is a place to find it. Along with staying at this peaceful wooded campground, one can “mine” Herkimer Diamond quartz crystals adjacent to the campground via a bridge over the stream.

I enjoyed a site next to the stream. The store is small but had what you may need. The grandchildren had a great time and love looking and finding Herkimer Diamonds.
