Swimming, hiking, and day trips to Million Dollar Beach are all within reach of Adirondack Camping Village, a privately operated campground in Lake George, New York. The grounds sit within tall pines that provide meaningful shade and, according to multiple reviewers, enough canopy cover between sites that neighbors rarely feel intrusive. The campground runs from May 15 through September 15, placing it squarely in the thick of Adirondack summer season.
Maintenance is the detail that comes up most consistently across reviews. Staff rake out sites after each departure, bathrooms are cleaned regularly, and Kerrie F. notes the amenities are "extremely well maintained" even if somewhat dated. Showers run on a 15-minute timer and are free of charge. Laundry is available on site at standard coin-op rates. The crew is described as attentive without being intrusive, checking in when needed but otherwise giving campers room.
Sites include pull-through and back-in options with full hookups, rated for RVs up to 60 feet. Sandy, level ground is common. Some sites run small, and the internal roads are narrow enough that maneuvering anything much over 23 feet takes patience. Tent sites and cabins round out the options. The pool, basketball court, volleyball court, and evening movie screenings give families with kids a reason to stay on-site between excursions. One consistent note from dog owners: no on-site trails exist for walking pets, so nearby roads and surrounding areas fill that gap.
The village of Lake George is close, making resupply runs and restaurant stops straightforward. Lake George Camping Village sits just to the north, and Hearthstone Point Campground is a short drive east for those comparing options in the area. Campers who want a base for exploring the broader Adirondacks will find the location practical, with The Quarters at Lake George and Lake George Riverview Campground also nearby if this one is full.
Note: This campground is listed as permanently closed. Verify current status before planning a trip.
