Beautiful campground and dog friendly

We stopped just for the night but this campground gave us so much to do in one night. The pool is resort style with hot tub. They even have a dog washing facilty with tubs. The spaces are set apart for lots of privacy between spots and the grounds are impeccable. Excellent place to stay.

Great camp Route 66

A well laid out RV park! Your GPS will take you to the front of the 66 Casino. You will keep driving west on service rood past Casino parking lot. On west end turn left and go straight back to gated entrance to RV park. The park has a pool, club hose group BBQ area, several bathrooms, showers, laundry rooms, several fence in dog parks, most sites are pull through concrete level slabs sites with tables and fire pits at all sites. You get a card key to open gate for after hours and club house. High water pressure so pressure regulator highly recommended and sold in check in office. There is a $25 security fee that is returned to your credit card after checking out.

Wide long concrete slab parking

The whole campground is well spread out with big picnicking tables and fire 🔥 rings in each site. The parking pads are long. Enough so I could park two of my 25 ft RV trailers on the driver through camp sites and still have room for my crewcab long bed truck on the sites. The sites are well spaced out. The sites next to us on both sides are a good 40 feet on both sides. So your not right on your neighbors utilities stations. The Power polls has both 30amp and 50amp and 20amp power outlets. The fresh water spiket is the cold weather antifreeze type. The sewerage dump actually was good enough I was able to screw my 90° elbow into. No rock required on top to make sure there was no blowout when dumping. The landscape is a natural high desert 🏜 look to fit in with out side of park. There are at least three fenced in dog park scattered around the park. The same the bathroom, shower and laundry room with two washers and dryers. There is a large group Pavilion with several gas BBQ there. Pool house and pool, entertainment room. Over all a well laid out campgrounds.

Great resort near Albuquerque

This resort is all it says. Fantastic level sites with awesome new hook ups. The facilities are beautiful. Best WiFi and bathrooms/showers we have had at any of our many campgrounds. Garbage pick up curbside daily. Negatives are high price with many of the beautiful amenities being closed due to COVID restrictions. This is ridiculous given that all the states we have been through from the east coast are completely open. This is especially true when they charge so much.

Our favorite when traveling through New Mexico

Where do I start? The cleanest restrooms & showers anywhere. The browns are impeccable. Great wi-fi coverage & speed. All of the staff are top-notch. Bonus is the casino & restaurants next door.

And they remember us each time. It’s like home away from home.

Big Sky Desert View

Clean, paved drives and concrete pull through diagonal sites with full hook ups. Gated control entrance. Good Wi-Fi. Adjacent to a casino but far enough to not feel the energy or be bothered by the lights. We had luxury pull through #1126 just for one night, but a nice enough park to spend more time. It’s a about 20 minutes to drive to Albuquerque on I40.

Well Maintained Park

We stopped here for an overnight stay. It is a well maintained, gated RV park. The level concrete pads were great and site had full hookups, Picnic table and fire pit. The only reason for giving 4 stars was that the cellular and wifi was intermittent but I think if you get a spot closer to the clubhouse you should be good. Beautiful mountain scenery, park had putt putt, gym, pool and other amenities but not all open yet. Staff was very nice. Would stay here again.

Peaceful Stop Near a Big City

The Campground (CG) is right off I-40 but our Garmin RV GPS wanted to take us up about 15 miles farther West and turn back. This could have been because of the new roadwork and two traffic circles to get to the travel center, casino, and RV park. Waze had us getting off the right exit, going through the traffic circles and then we followed the signage to the CG area. Check in was quick and easy and we were escorted to pull through site 1225 with FHUs. The CG was not very crowded during our Thur to Fri stay probably due to the casino only being open to NM residents (as of 5 Jun 21). We were told that the water pressure was about 90 psi and it was, so use a reducer. The sites throughout this campground are nicely spaced, well groomed and level. When we come here again for a longer stay we will try to get sites 1210 or 1212, which are easy back-ins and the most spacious. We thought the free WiFi should have worked better with the reduced amount of campers. We got 4 bars Verizon and a variety of OTA channels. Easy shots to the Southern sky from all sites for satellite. There was a nice sized fenced dog area just down from our site and a larger one near the front by the recreation center plus the CG is large enough to give your pup a good walk. You can hear the interstate in the distance when outside, but the noise wasn’t bad. The CG was very clean and there are a lot of amenities. We highly recommend this park for an easy overnighter or a place to spend a few days exploring Albuquerque.

Nice and new!

We spent one night here in early April, 2020. We live in Albuquerque, and it was the middle of the early Coronavirus lockdown, but were looking to just get away from the house and still be away from people. With all the state and national parks closed, we had to go commercial. Rt. 66 RV Resort is just loaded with amenities (none of which we used, thanks to social distancing). It was not crowded at this time, so we requested and received a lot well away from anyone else. Full hook-ups, all in great shape. The park is less than 2 years old, I think, and it shows. Everything is pretty much immaculate. Service was VERY friendly and the guy led us right to the lot in his golf cart. Nice and flat. Picnic table. Fire pit. We had lovely weather so sitting out as the sun set was a nice treat.

In the morning, we walked around the whole place, and they really do have excellent amenities, all still in great shape. The pool area (not open) looks very inviting and attractive. The club house, while simple, looked very inviting. A couple of bathhouses around and a couple of dog parks. A big outdoor pavilion with a batch of grills and sinks and loads of tables in case you want to have a big party. The casino, restaurants and hotel were all closed, of course...but if you were looking for a place to stop and eat at a decent restaurant and do a little gambling...this RV park puts you just a couple hundred yards from the casino doors. Would be fun!

(Since that time, the casino has reopened.)

Beautiful lots

Very well maintained!!! Very open and you can see for miles. Close to the interstate. Due to Covid, no outa staters are alpine in the casino. I was told this over the phone without even asking about it. So the staff was kind of rude. But park is manned 24/7.
