Basic for the price

Not one of my favorites. Sits a little off the lake so I'd try one of the other campgrounds that are closer if you want to be closer. Not busy at all but lots of traffic during the day

Small rv park. Make a reservation online

It’s November and it’s 80° the day and 30° at night. They have water and electric. I’m getting quite a few channels over broadcast. My T-Mobile Internet is at four bars and my AT&T cell phone is at two bars. Stay here couple nights going to move on tomorrow.

Great price for what we got

Park Ranger was awesome...never saw the camp hosts. Pretty windy while I've been here but beautiful enough. Camped with water and electricity, bathrooms up the hill so don't wait till last minute. Have 3 bars of Verizon service in spot 6.

Amazing Scenery

We camped in the Pecos campground in site 12. Beautiful view of the lake and desert. Awesome sunrises. This site is one of the few that has full hookups but the sewer connection was so far from the water and electric there was no way I could hook up. Would have needed at least 30 ft of sewer hose. The water and electric hookups were on the wrong side. I would have had to pull in nose first if I didn’t have a super long power cord and water hose. The sites have covered picnic tables, and many have cute 3 sided Adobe structures that break the wind and provide more shade. Gravel site was perfectly level and wide enough for 3 campers. Lots of space between sites so there’s plenty of privacy. There is a clean bathhouse, but it’s quite a long walk. There is a nice big playground for kids. There are heavy steel trash cans at each site, and rangers pick up trash twice a day. It gets real windy in the afternoons, but it dies down in evening. If you like looking at starry skies, this park is super dark at night and awesome for stargazing. Lots of flies. Mosquitoes are a bit of a nuisance in the evening. There are fire pits and a little camp fire keeps a lot of pests away.

Sweet little desert lake

Nice little desert lake with nice campground. Storms rolled in every afternoon. There was electric and water hookups. The lake was warm and clean. Be careful of rattlesnakes, scorpions and tarantulas. This area is also cougar County so don't let the little ones wander off outta sight. Rattlesnakes are the biggest danger if your bit. Scorpions and tarantulas are just a bit of a sting but still not fun. Never leave your shoes outside and keep your tents zippered. Always check the handles and underside of things before you grab them.

Nice view of the lake.

I stayed in a primative area near the lake shore. The campground, about 1/2 mile away had tables, toilets and water. Nice place but windy when I was there.
