Gallinas - Lower is located near varied terrain with a mix of forested areas and open spaces. Temperatures can range from lows in the 30s Fahrenheit during winter to highs in the 80s during summer. Visitors can explore the nearby Gila National Forest and enjoy its trails and natural scenery.
Description
Lower Gallinas Campground is situated in a tight little canyon and is easily accessed by New Mexico Highway 152. It is approximately 35 miles east of Silver City within the Black Range Mountains.

The campground is located approximately 35 miles east of Silver City along NM Hwy. 152. Due to flooding, parts of the highway are damaged. Please contact New Mexico Department of Transportation for more information. Campground is on south side of road and easily recognized by posted signs.
