Monthly stay way too costly

We got lured in with a super reasonable monthly price so decided to book despite seeing it was close to a major street. It was ok to stay as we enjoyed exploring the surrounding mountains and of course white sands but the campground itself is nothing to brag about. Very noisy at night with lots of ambulances driving by but worst of all the electricity charge they presented us at the end of the stay was unbelievable high. We didn't even use air conditioning and they refused to show us proof of our usage. It is what it is but I wouldn't go back.

Ok for one night

We stopped here for one night after visiting White Sands National Monument. The sites are very close together. The side of our camper almost touched the slide out of the RV next to us. Water, sewer & electricity. They have bright lights st the sites which is annoying. There is a duck pond. Bathrooms and showers were adequate. About 5 miles from Alamogordo and 20 miles from White Sands.

Nice stay off of highway

The host was welcoming and accommodating upon arrival. The site had all the hookups. Neighbors were within 10 feet of you, but they were all respectful and amazingly quiet. The small duck pond was nice and the restroom / shower was well maintained. The site was right off the highway so easy to get to and the site level. There was a lot of noise from traffic on the highway. If you are looking for a sense of privacy and seclusion in nature this is not the place for you. No personal fire pits are a bummer. If you need a hot shower, a place to wash clothes, and quick access to the small city. It is good. Also, it was affordable...very fair pricing.

Great little spot

We stopped for a night passing through and it was great. Very hospitable camp host. My kids also enjoyed the playground and the ducks and chickens by the pond.

Small but perfect

The owners was super nice and welcoming! We stayed for a night and dry camped with our small trailer. There was; a catch and release pond with rods, bathroom with shower, laundry room, and small exercise room. It was perfect for our one night stop before going to White Sands NP. They had a note in the laundry saying to be patient and bare with them as they are working on making the campground better but it was amazing. Only charged $15 because we didn’t hookup to electric/water/waste. Would recommend to anyone that needs to stay in that area!!

Nice little park

We just spent one night there on our way to Wisconsin. The park is not very large, but has everything that you might need: shower, tiny playground, a fishing pond, dog run. Our space was not very far from the road, but we didn't hear too much noise during the night.

Surprise win for a few days

Dint judge a book by its cover… this is a well run place. John keeps everything clean and maintained. If you need a stopover to see white sands and everything else is booked, it is better than you expect at first sight.

A handful of sites are available for short term folks - all long pull through - option with/without sewer. The non sewer sites are along the pond and afford a bit more privacy (wish we’d done that - don’t make our mistake). It is mostly like long term stays and older rigs but don’t let that dismay you.

Sites go opposite directions and are snug - so you’ll be close to your drivers side neighbors and have a shared space with your door side neighbors if you go for a with sewer pull through.

What brings this up to a 3 is the meticulous care of the owner/manager John and the surprise amenities. A pond, a small play set (swings, slide) nice laundry room, some exercise equipment including a pretty modern bow flex! And a great book room that has a chalkboard some desks and a couch if you need a fresh space to work. He even has sleds to loan out for the dunes.

John’s a Vietnam vet and a great character. He runs a clean campground and will take care of you. It makes the grounds feel safe and well tended. Would definitely support this business if we came back through.
