White Sands and Cloudcroft 30 minute drive

This campsite was awesome! It’s only a 30‑minute drive to White Sands National Park and Cloudcroft. The host is very responsive and helpful via call or text. They even provide sleds and wax for free to use at White Sands. There’s an arroyo behind the RV park to explore, along with some off‑road trails leading toward the mountains and various nearby hiking spots. The laundry room and shower are clean.

Well kept and off the main road

We spent three nights here. It was far enough off the main road, a couple miles, so there was no traffic noise. The owner, Crystal, super attentive to communications. The camp hosts Bob and Mardyth were so sweet. We had truck trouble and had to take it to a mechanic, and Bob came and picked us up and brought us back to the park. The park has full hook ups, a nice shower and laundry and book exchange, and a central area for relaxing and barbecuing. Some nice hiking in the area. A good spot to have as a homebase to visit White Sands National Park and Alamogordo, where the Space museum was.

Discriminates against EVs

Wanted to spend one nite in rivian with rooftop tent. Were told we are not allowed to plug-in our electric vehicle.

Sitedid not get one
Month of VisitJune

As stated on our website we do not allow any charging of electric vehicles as we are maxed out on our transformers. There is such a variety of how much EV’s pull- some pull very little and some pull a huge amount so yes, we do not allow them as our main priority is RV’s- especially in the heat of the summer with triple degree heat and a fairly full park. Please note this review is based on a phone call and not an actual stay.

Safe, nice, close to White Sands

This campground is quite remote, however it's about 30 minutes from the White Sands National Park, which is super cool to see and also about 30 minutes from the little mountain town called Cloudcroft, which has a lot of charm and many cute shops. The managers are a nice old couple. However we had a massive thunder storm in the middle of the night, which was slightly terrifying. I'd check the weather in advance.

A beautiful, quiet place to stay.

JoAnn was being modest in only giving her park 4 stars, this is a 5 star park in my opinion. They take cash, check, or card which is very convenient. When we arrived the staff showed us our spot and helped direct us in. We made use of the showers and toilets and they were both immaculately clean, they even provide clean towels should you forget one. We were able to use our Passport America discount but would have payed full price for the comfort and amenities that Mountain Meadows offers. We will definitely be staying again if we find ourselves near the area.

Awesome RV Park away from Hwy and Railroads. Quiet and friendly!

Being the managers of this awesome RV Park we may be just a bit partial but let it be!

We have been here for over a year now and have met such awesome folks.  The owner is always improving things around.  Even though we are in the dessert we still have trees and grass.  The park is convenient to 2 towns, many stores, including 2 Walmarts, many attractions, including White Sands National Park and The Space Museum!  Ruidoso is only a few miles away with casinos and Horserace tracks.

Summertime heat can get you down, but 16 miles up to Cloudcroft will cool you off, and there are several excellent places to eat when visiting up that way also Ruidoso is some cooler.
