Enjoyable and memorable experience

Autumn Hills Campground is AWESOME! It’s remotely located and the amenities and activities are amazing, something for everyone! The staff is so friendly and helpful and I can’t say enough how clean the bathrooms, laundry room and store are! The super nice owners, Adam& Jennifer are constantly making upgrades and changes and have really created a beautiful, family oriented campground! I recommend you take the virtual tour online so you can pick a sight that works for you and book it soon.

Awesome!

Campground is peaceful and quiet; the lake is within close proximity to most sites; I wouldn’t say it’s the best place for swimming but overall a great place to launch a kayak or canoe and paddle about! The staff is friendly and pet friendly! They do have golf cart rentals available. We would recommend! T-18 is a nice private site!

Average I guess? My first review so here goes

My first review. It’s more just a stream of thoughts from checking in to our departure:

First impression: easy to find, check in was easy. Keycard access to get on site (hand it in when checking out. Don’t use the drop box. $50 lost fee). Store is well supplied. (Marked up obviously) Ice is $2.50

Owners and many on site openly displaying many pro-trump/“LGB” signs.

Our site was down at the bottom of the hill near Daniel’s Lake. Site was rocky and sandy. We were basically in a space cut out next to the road and felt pretty exposed. Neighbors are all around and the campground fills up during the weekend. During the week it’s pretty quiet.

Pool was nice when it wasn’t too crowded. Noise isn’t too bad. They do plan and host activities and events for the weekends.

We stayed a week. I don’t know if I would go back because I know there are campgrounds that I prefer over this one. The bugs, the sandy rocky side of the road site, crowded political environment isn’t what I look for and would probably pass and go elsewhere. My preference.

The bathhouses are probably the best maintained of any campground I’ve stayed at. They’re cleaned multiple time a day.

There were a bunch of families and everyone seemed to be in good spirits. So I guess if you enjoy that type of campground, this one is for you!

Good first time RV stay

We went here for our first time stay with our RV. The sites were on the small side, but it worked just fine. We stayed at site 14 needed a very long sewer hose. The staff was very nice. When I made the reservation, I informed that it was the first time for us in an RV and in the notes asked if we could have help if possible. When We checked in they acknowledged the note. The gentleman at the counter said we would be fine after the woman at the register asked if he was going to take us. We did fine, but I expected a different response from staff.

I do want to say it was a successful weekend and in the end we did not need help.

Family campground

Pros- very clean, bathrooms kept up with regularly. Staff is very nice. They offer boat rentals, canoes, paddle boats and kayaks. Store on site and they do activities during the week. Definitely more kids friendly I think. They do have a pool, park, dog park, lake and food trucks visits at times. They have community fires and dances. Pet friendly. Wood available on site.

Cons- loud cars going all night, some lights in your face. Some people tend to fly down the road on golf carts. You can also hear the main road from the open style campsite. No privacy. People will walk threw your tent site. They will talk during the night while doing this, smoking seems to be allowed at pool. No fires between 9am-5pm.

Overall we had a good time.

Good Campground

We have only one con about the grounds, there were a ton of ticks on the edge of the site. Staff was friendly, pool was nice & sites were fairly spacious. We would go back, however ticks tend to flock to my husband & 9 year old son, they don’t really bother our teen daughter & I.

Over my expectation

Before going to camping, I saw some reviews with bad comments and started to worry about this trip. But when I got there, it was way better than my expectations. The staffs are friendly and nice. The facilities here are really good as well, especially the bath house is super clean. It’s really family friendly place to camp during the weekends. However, the campsites are kinda close to each other, so if you care about camping at quiet place, it might not be suitable for you. Btw, the lake is amazing!!

Relaxing and fun

Lake access, inground pool, ball field, and lots of activities for the kids makes this a great place to relax with the family. Situated primarily on a hillside, some of the sites are tricky to navigate with a camper, but it also minimizes the amount of neighbors you have if you are looking to have some quiet time.

Okay Campground

Found this campground and decided to try it because prices are very reasonable. Unfortunately, we discovered why. Sites are very small, and extremely close together. My 28 foot travel trailer barely fit into the site, and our friends in the tent sites were basically on top of each other. The store was clean, and staff was helpful. They really enforce the fires out at midnight rule, as it was 12:10 and we were asked to put our fire out even as we were sitting around it. Campground had a few activities and the pool hours were very reasonable.
