Accessible directly from I-80 with full hookups and reservations available year-round, Ogallala KOA gives RV travelers a straightforward overnight stop in western Nebraska. Sites are gravel and flat across the board, which makes leveling and setup easier than at many comparable stops along this stretch of interstate. Staff guides arrivals directly to their sites, a detail several reviewers noted as genuinely useful when pulling a large rig.

Highway noise is a factor. Multiple reviewers reported hearing I-80 throughout the night, though at least one noted that wind direction made a difference. Two truck stops sit nearby, so light sleepers should plan accordingly. The campground has no meaningful shade, but its flat layout and large gravel sites give rigs plenty of room to spread out. Two dog parks on the property make it a workable stop for pet owners, and the campground has historically drawn light traffic outside peak summer months.

"The entire campground is flat, which is nice for setup," one camper noted, and that practicality runs through most of the reviews. Cleanliness comes up consistently across multiple visits, and the staff's approach to check-in gets mentioned more than once as a highlight. WiFi is available on-site, and cell coverage has been noted by reviewers without major complaints. The Country Pride restaurant is close by and comes up in reviews as a reliable dining option.

Campers who want quieter surroundings or more shade might look at campgrounds near Ogallala, including Ogallala/I-80 KOA Journey as a nearby alternative worth comparing before booking.

Many campers appreciated the exceptionally clean facilities, spacious gravel sites, and outstanding dog amenities. Friendly staff provide personalized service guiding guests to sites. Highway noise varies by conditions but proximity to I-80 offers convenient access.

It's okay

Alot of gravel, little shade, friendly staff at least the guy who guided us to our site was. He spotted Us on the site so utility hook up was shorthand easy. Campground was quite, at least I thought it was for I-80 is close by. There is two truck stops a stone throws away. The entire Campground is flat, which is nice for setup. I would stay here again

Clean and maintained. Manager was friendly and they take you to your site. (Wish they all did) Sites are gravel but quite large. Full hookup and well placed. 2 dog parks. It’s close to the road but surprising quiet. Not anything to do in this little town. Wal-Mart is very small. We ate at an excellent restaurant that was clean and food was very good. Country Pride is the name and very close to campground. Highly recommend!!!

Clean, friendly.

Very clean. Friendly staff.

Few other RVs were there when we camped May 1, 2023.  They were doing a lot of work upgrading some sites with lovely concrete pads and gravel.

We couldn't hear the highway (with a brisk wind blowing the other way...)

Lots of sites, so I imagine it would be very packed in peak season.

Road our bikes around quite safely on paved/gravel roads nearby.

Great overnight spot

This place is less than a mile off i-80. Ease access and great wifi. There is a small playground for the kids and several dog walks but that is about it. We did hear highway noise all night.
