One of the Nicer KOAs

We received a text the day prior welcoming us and asking us not to arrive before 1:00 PM Mountain Time plus let them know our estimated arrival time. This campground is just across the Mountain time zone as you head West. There were also instructions on where to park. We were met outside as we arrived and check-in was quick. We were escorted to a standard pull-through site 35 with FHUs. The first thing we noticed was how immaculate the campground(CG) was kept. Our site was plenty long enough for our 40’ 5th wheel and our F450. The utilities are in the middle with two sewer choices(nice!). The water pressure was good at around 50 psi. We were told at check-in that the Wifi was good enough to stream so we did not put out our Starlink for this overnighter and the Wifi performed well. We got 4 bars on Verizon. The sites are well-spaced especially for a KOA and their premium sites are really nice. Along with the regular fenced dog areas, they have several K-9 sites with private fenced dog areas. The CG is right off I-80, so you will have highway noise. Have to say this is one of the better laid out and managed KOA Journeys we’ve stayed. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice KOA

I like this KOA they have put a lot of effort and money into it. A couple of issues really close to I 80 and as of July 2024 have construction hard to get into the road.

Clean, convenient, highway noise

Clean campground, level gravel sites. Easy on and off to I80, but road noise as a result all day and night. Verizon cell signal was strong. Clean bathrooms and showers. Laundry available. Playground for kids, dog park for furry friends. Most sites are in open, a handful of sites had limited shade. Campground itself was quiet. Staff was friendly, staff escorts you to your site and directs you in. Garbage dumpster across from bathhouse. Small store in main building.

Level sites, Highway noise

Easy in/easy out. Nice looking sites. Some soft gravel in sites. Water pressure okay. Electric solid. Road noise from I-80 is very very loud and should be expected. If you're a light sleeper, stay away.

Convenient but noisy.

Very clean and well maintained, friendly and helpful staff/owners. It's a great place for a one night stop. I even enjoyed sitting out at night watching the big trucks going down I80 with all their lights, open exhaust and jake breaks.

Excellent Overnight Stop!

Great spot for a quick overnight stop. Clean, level, and updated sites, especially KOA Patio sites with paver patios, stone fire pits, and LP grills. Friendly staff, nice store, and prompt service. The noise from I-80 was minimal to us, as we didn’t even recognize it (didn’t hear one set of engine brakes at night). Park is lacking in “kids activities”, as this is a Journey and not a Holiday, but if you can accept that, you’ll be fine. Figure this site is perfect for folks going to/coming from the Rockies, needing a place to sleep for a night along the way. Will definitely stay again if we are out this way!

$45 for 5 hours of sleep next to the loudest highway

We were absolutely desperate to find a spot late last night so we figured we could trust a KOA to stop at in Nebraska. We’ve stayed at numerous other KOAs where they were conveniently/inconveniently next to the highway. Usually happy that it’s a close drive to get back on the highway but if you’re in a tent at this one it sounds like you’re about to get hit by a truck every 30 seconds. We pulled in around 11:30PM after driving for 11 hours and set up our tent and woke up before 5 to absolutely insane traffic going by. Also if we had realized it was going to be $45 for the site we would have found a hotel for another $20. Waste of money...should have risked just pulling over and sleeping on the side of the road somewhere. But at least the bathrooms and showers were VERY clean

Best managers ever!

This was a tiny little campground that hit the spot after driving 14 hours. Spotless bathrooms, perfectly groomed campsite, and ridiculously wonderful management! There was a heck of a storm on the horizon and the management kept pulling up radar for us to put our minds at ease! Gave us little gifts for the kids and earplugs for the highway lol! I just really can’t say enough good things about these people. It’s not too often that you meet people that just make you feel at home like they did. I’ll be back during my next cross country trip! Love this place!

Great Stop

This was a wonderful KOA that we arrived to at 11:15 at night too with no reservations. It was quick and easy to grab the after hours pack and find a spot. Bathroom and showers very clean. Just a nice setup at this campground and easy to jump right back on 80 to head home.

Very Clean and Convenient

We camped here with our 17 foot Casita enroute to the Black Hills. It’s convenient for a stop on the way. However, the property is immediately adjacent to I-80. Lots of road noise. When you get off the interstate, you wend your way through truck stops to get to the campground. There is a Walmart and an Ace Hardware conveniently located just blocks away.

The campground is very clean and well-maintained. We arrived after closing, but our info and map was in an easy to locate envelope in the office. The staff even called us earlier in the day to make sure we would get settled OK. Very professional and customer oriented. The bathroom and shower house was immaculately clean. A+ on that. The water is good tasting.
