Osmond City Park

With three RV sites offering water and electric hookups, Osmond City Park provides free overnight camping for travelers passing through northeast Nebraska. The municipal campground sits one block off Highway 20 in this small town of around 700 residents, with a suggested donation of $10 per night. Sites include access to restrooms, showers, and a dump station.

The park features additional amenities including a public swimming pool, tennis courts, playground, and picnic shelter. Businesses operate directly across the street, creating daytime activity, though reviewers note the area quiets down after business hours. Campers can explore other campgrounds around Pierce or continue east to Willow Creek State Recreation Area Campground for a different setting.

Many campers appreciated this small town park's comprehensive amenities including hookups, pool, and bathrooms for free or minimal donation. Noise levels vary with some noting business activity nearby while others found privacy among the trees.

Very tiny

Located in a small city park with only 3 obvious sites. There is a pool nearby, tennis courts, playground, picnic shelter, and park. There are businesses right across the street so quite a bit of activity during the day. Stayed here previously a few years ago and happened to be passing through again.

Great city park spot

Great overnight stop on our way through Nebraska. This city park has 5 RV/trailer pads with water and electric hookup. Suggested donation of $10/night. Right in the middle of the small town of Osmond. Bathrooms and playground with plenty of space to run. Just off the main road, but was quiet.

A Perfect Surprise

We love to camp and birdwatch throughout Nebraska, though occasionally a final campsite at days-end can be hard to locate. One of the fascinating features of the state's hospitality is the number of towns that provide top-notch RV facilities for free to travelers. It really takes the stress out of travel.

The Osborn City Park is one such park in a town of only 600-700 residents. One block off Hwy 20 in northeast Nebraska, this is loaded with amenities.: a public swimming pool, 2 well built RV pads with water and electrical hookups, a nearby bathroom and shower, grill, gazebo, and a railway caboose. The park is covered with trees and is fairly large, so we had complete privacy. There is a nearby sewer dump station. Who could ask for more? And it's all free, but you can leave a donation.
