Best RV Parks & Resorts near Victor, MT

Several RV parks exist near Victor in Montana's Bitterroot Valley, providing varying hookup options and site configurations. Lolo Hot Springs RV Park & Campground offers sites with 50-amp electrical connections, water hookups, and access to both showers and toilets. Jim & Mary's RV Park in Missoula features 74 sites with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections on level surfaces. "The RV sites are level and have lots of shade and privacy. This is the kind of campground you want to stay a few days to relax in," noted one visitor about camping options in the region. Granite Peak RV Resort operates seasonally from May through mid-October with 110 sites accommodating larger vehicles, offering both 30-amp and 50-amp electrical service alongside full hookups.

Road access to most parks requires attention to mountainous terrain and occasionally narrow roadways. According to one camper, "Access not well suited for large RV's or 5th wheels (narrow roads/bridges and lots of low hanging tree limbs). Smaller trailer campers are great." Dump stations are available at select locations including Lolo Hot Springs RV Park and Granite Peak RV Resort, though not all parks provide this service. Many parks remain open year-round, though amenities may be limited during winter months. Most accommodate pets with specific restrictions, and propane service is limited across the area. Reservations are strongly recommended during summer months and holiday weekends when occupancy rates typically peak.

Informal Dispersed Campsite at Fish Creek Properties Montana State Park

Big Spot adjacent to the road, Good if in a pinch

Sign says camping permitted to 14 days in a 30 day period. Adjacent to dirt road with a few trees in between. Not the most private but a good option if you need a place for the night if the nearby campsite is full. No amenities. T-mobile cell service is good here.

River access just at the entry of the turn in. Could easily pull a big rig in but may have a hard time turning it around as there is not a pull through. There is a concrete slab that is level and about 12'x25' in size  which could be good for a trailer or van without having to do much for leveling. Many vehicles/tents could fit here in the dirt area but would likely be comfortable for a single group rather than multiple camp groups.

    Black Rabbit RV

    Compact but Quiet Spot

Very full park with mostly long- term guests on gravel pads, no grass. Spots very close together but each site had a picnic table- no grills. Visitors friendly but staff were marginal. Small laundry room with old machines. Convenient location but check- in early during peak season.

    Granite Peak RV Resort

    Surrounded by mountains

If the smoke from summer wildfires were not so thick, you could see the beautiful long range, multi tiered mountains. The park is well maintained. I love the fact that they have a puttputt on the grounds. Very family friendly. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the sited are not level. All, but the premium sites (concrete pads) have a slope. Jack's were fully extended and some wheels off the ground. Pulling up on blocks was no problem. Not a ton of shade at sited. I had 5 bars of 5G AT&T. Wifi repeaters were throughout the park. Would definitely recommend.

    Lolo Hot Springs Campground

Lo Lo Hot Springs is Hot!

Very nice campground across Hwy. 12 in Montana. Campground is ill defined so it feels more like camping out in the woods. Fire pits with picnic tables. 30 amp electric with water. Dump station on site. $38.50 per night or $25.50 with senior discount. Cabins are available and there is numerous tent sites. Pretty nice campground. Across the highway is Lo Lo Hot Springs. Very rustic with a $8.00 entry fee. Inside group tub and outside pool. There is a lodge and bar also on site. We spent 5 days in our 5th wheel at LoLo.

    Granite Peak RV Resort

    Fine For a Stop-off Night

Definitely not a spot that caters to our normal priorities as it's more of a family hangout or long term place, as expected being an RV park. But it worked well as a stop-off spot for laundry, showers, electric recharge, and water fill before continuing on our way the next morning. We were worried it'd be loud being so close to the freeway, but surprisingly couldn't hear it at all.

Facilities: Laundry, showers that feel like home more than any other we've been to, mini-golf, playground, convenience store

Cell Service: As expected plenty of service being so close to Missoula

Starlink: All sites are open to the sky

Solar: All sites are open to the sky

The Inn at Philipsburg RV Park

    In town, as advertised

Had a van battery issue so needed to plug in for the cold night. Is as advertised, not for typical bookdockers. Owner is nice and accommodating. Maybe 12 sites with some long term renters - it appeared. All hook ups available up to 50amp. Not quite close enough to down town to walk (in winter). Philipsburg is an awesome small Montana town that’s worth a stop.

    Chief Looking Glass Campground

    Solid Place To Stay

I rolled in mid-afternoon and was able to find a great spot to camp for a couple of days.  The sites were well dispersed and clean with picnic tables and fire pits available.

AT&T phone service was available and at good speeds.  I chose to stay the extra day and was able to work remotely from the campground with my hotspot.

$18/night for out of state travelers with no hookups was a bit steep.

Good site and will be back!

    Charles Waters Campground

    Quiet camping in the Bitterroots.

Nice little campground in the Bitterroot Valley. It seemed that there were as many dogs as people in the campground. Sites varied in size and shape and shade. I like the sites on the far side of the loop as they are closer to the creek and away from the dusty road. Water at the spigots was good, but I was a bit concerned that they were placed so close to the vault toilets. There are some pull through sites as well as back in, but since it’s first come, it’s luck of the draw in what you get. I got there around 2 on a Sunday and had 3 sites to pick from. All of the sites were full by 4pm. There are some nice hiking and horseback riding trails across the road, and there is a forest road that goes all the way to the top of the mountains with picnic tables to watch the sunset or sunrise (when the smoke doesn’t cloud the view).

    Quartz Flat Campground

    Hidden Gem

This campground is AT the rest stop. It's a bit different. If travelers knew about it they would stop and go into the campground for a picnic lunch and it is great to let the dogs walk in the woods, but no one ever does that because they do not realize the National Forest Campground is there... They stop at the rest stop (new redone) and move on.

Hardly anyone goes there on loop G. The other Clark Fork side gets some weekenders.  The other loops are on the other side of the highway accessible by a tunnel under the highway and one loop was deactivated a few years ago because of a lack of traffic. One side is right above the Clark Fork River. The other Loop G is on the other side of the highway and has one set of "real toilets" a potable and non-potable/dump water station for filling water tanks and rinsing tanks AND its a nice free dump station. Sites are smaller being built back in the 60's I'm thinking in G, but a few drive throughs on the other side by the river. It's 35 minutes north of Missoula MT. It is Close to trails has a half mile nature trail onsite and river access is close by... If you are traveling, need a really nice campground with few people in the woods, and inexpensive, this is the place... Coming to fish, do some kayaking or rafting on Clark Fork Check.

There is some road noise and on Loop G the occasional train next to the campground. The Clark Fork side doesn't have the train but seem louder closer to the road. That does not bother us so no big deal there. All sites are wooded...
