Best Cabin Camping near Victor, MT

Excellent facilities, great customer service, kids loved the pool, I loved the hot tub.

This was a very well kept campground with lots of amenities. There was a pool, two hot tubs, laundry, and a general store. The bathrooms and showers were very clean.

The tent site was spacious and had outdoor lighting. Definitely had a lot more amenities than we are generally used to! Didn't get there in time to use the hot tub, but the people were really nice!

We were stuck a night in Missoula waiting for a new tire, so booked this place in town. We have a nice self converted camper van and were told we couldn’t stay due to their “no sleeping in vehicles rule” our options were to go buy a tent or cancel our reservation without refund. After some back and forth, the manager finally agreed to let us stay home night in the van. We had a tent site for an unheard of $80. The site was decent, as far as KOAs go but I wouldn’t stay here if you have other options. They had a foot truck and a decent hot tub but be prepared for tons of screaming kids too

The Missoula KOA appears to be the only game in town.  I guess that is why they can charge a premium price and leave you with two choices, take it or leave it.  Only problem is we could not find another place so we "took it".

This is a big and busy campground.  Lots of good things about it.  For example, for a premium price, you can get a site with your own private dog run.  Two older but OKay hot tubs and a heated swimming pool.  Bicycle and other stuff rental.  Everything from tent sites, cabins, small full hook-up sites to large spacious premium sites.  Despite some of the bad reviews, the staff was very friendly to us and, because of no parking for our Tesla, they were able to move us to a better site.  WARNING:  You are not allowed to plug in any electric car.  We were warned that if we plugged in our Tesla, we would be fined and asked to leave the park immediately.  The Tesla supercharger was less than two miles away so no problem for us.  Wifi was great.  34 mbs.  AT&T was 2 bars 5G.

The BAD:  Very busy.  Many days in summer they are 100 per cent booked.  Make reservations early and be specific what you need.  Be ready to pay a premium price, even for tent camping.  Camp is old but well kept.  Bathrooms are clean but very old style and shower stalls are very small and not handicapped friendly.  Surrounded by lots of older double-wide's.  Some well kept and some not so well kept.  Not friendly to electric cars (see warning above).  Several times during our stay they paused their golf cart in front of our Tesla,  I assume making sure we did not plug in.

This place is on my shortlist for favorites for my week long getaway with my daughter who is 5. To be honest I was a bit concerned after reading a couple reviews describing the place. But hey, we all have bad days, and if I can read 90% positive vibe from a review I will check it out. I will say This place is an oasis that is in a manufactured home area that is very nice. Once you are in, it is a pure KOA experience. So far no company consistently does better than OK always across the board.

Could not be happier with the customer service, and the staff that work here. Just simply top notch. They represent the true spirit of the KOA campgrounds. they lead you to your campsite, they will deliver wood for you, they monitor the pool at all times, make it easy to rent a little bike, and Wednesday through Saturday they have ice cream socials.

I was a bit surprised that I did not see more children here. They have all the amenities that they have in Billings. I think some of the other reviews do not paint a quality picture of this place from a child’s eye. This is my daughters favorite place. From the bike rental to the playground, putt putt golf, swimming pool (2 Adult hot tubs - very clean).

Of course as Tenters the big thing I look at is where I am pounding in my stakes :-) and the grass here in Missoula is perfect. They have several very creative approaches to tent sites. The one that I am staying at has a tent circle, five sites in the round, facing outward, fenced on each side with a picnic table, stand up barbecue, fire pit that is grated, picnic table, running water, electricity, and nice grass. I wish more campgrounds had this creative approach. Everything is well spread out and segregated between cabins, centers, and RV’s.

They even have two really nice teepees in the center of the campground. They are super deluxe and the next time I come here I will be staying in one of them. See the photos.

The campground store is the best stock store of all the KOA’s that I stayed in on this trip. They have everything from ice cream sandwiches to souvenirs.

The facilities are well-maintained and very clean. I’d like the cypher locks on the bathrooms/showers for safety. The driveways are well-maintained, they have a painted bike path for riders. Overall this was just wonderful!

If you have a couple days here I would suggest a 40 minute drive to the National Bison Range. The kids will love it!

PS - My daughter wanted me to add that they have three very large bunnies that roll around the campground. She loves them.

I was camping at a nearby national park site that had a flyer for Camp Sula, saying that if you show the receipt from your stay you can use Camp Sulas shower, laundry facilities and wifi at no cost. I arrived there and the ladies working in the combination store/restaurant/gas and coffee station were so friendly and down to earth. I was given a towel and shampoo/conditioner for the shower, they had complimentary and coin washing machines, and coin dryers, all very efficient. After my shower and waiting for clothes to dry, I walked around the camp, the log cabins are adorable and cozy, each has its own porch, picnic table and adjacent fire pit. There is free put-put golf, horseshoes, tetherball and a small well stocked fishing pond with benches to watch the action or simply admire the beauty of the surroundings. It is close to the main highway but tucked back enough you feel "away" from the bustle. I enjoyed myself so much I inquired about camping there for the night & I would only need a parking space because I sleep in my truck bed canopy. They were full (accommodates RVs and tents) but offered a makeshift spot right by the creek. It was perfect. Because of COVID, they had limited reservations for dinner, and practiced social distancing and requested patrons wear masks. Not everyone participated with their request but were equally treated with kindness and respect. I highly recommend their breakfast, big fluffy pancakes and local meats. They kept the restaurant, showers & bathroom & store very very clean. The location is a landmark, the Lewis and Clark expedition camped there on their way to discover the west. I highly recommend them

Gird Point Campground which is located in the Bitterroot National Forest is gorgeous. I love camping in Montana- I honestly have never had a bad experience camping anywhere in Montana. Gird Point is definitely no exception. My favorite part about this campsite is that it is located at the top of a peak. Camping on this peak definitely has gorgeous views, no doubt. There are three different mountain ranges that you are able to look out and see. Honestly, this is the best thing to wake up to. Talk about picturesque. You are able to stay in the lookout which has two beds that you are able to put your sleeping bags/pads on, and the lookout sleeps 4 people. When I went, we did have 4 people and it fit us pretty well. There is also a wood stove that works great for heating up water and cooking. The lookout also comes with some utensils and other amenities. Obviously, you do need to bring your own bathing supplies, sleeping supplies, food and drinks. You are able to drive to a certain point and then you do have to hike the remainder of the length to the lookout. The hike isn't too bad.

This cabin is so lovely, my dogs had a blast playing in the stream. I was happy to have a big real bed!

Nice flat spots with room as well as cabins. Can get busy in summer but worth it if you’ve never been; it is a real cool spot.

Powell Campground is a beautiful campground just over the Montana border on Hwy 12 right alongside the Lochsa River. There are two loops of campsites tent and RV pull in or back in camping with electricity that can accommodate up to a 45 ft camper. An amphitheater, large group campsite, picnic area, beautiful walking trails and most of all the beautiful Lochsa Lodge. A market with the friendliest people, cabins to rent and of course the beautiful Lochsa River. Lewis and Clark camped along the Lochsa and walked right through the campground.Deer, Elk and Bear sightings are common.

Very nice campground across Hwy. 12 in Montana. Campground is ill defined so it feels more like camping out in the woods. Fire pits with picnic tables. 30 amp electric with water. Dump station on site. $38.50 per night or $25.50 with senior discount. Cabins are available and there is numerous tent sites. Pretty nice campground. Across the highway is Lo Lo Hot Springs. Very rustic with a $8.00 entry fee. Inside group tub and outside pool. There is a lodge and bar also on site. We spent 5 days in our 5th wheel at LoLo.

We stayed at one of the cabins, small but with everything that you need (bed, coffee maker, bathroom with toiletries, mini fridge and microwave). There are several cute hiking trails with gorgeous scenery. Also, the saloon offers good comfort food and beverages.

We stopped here for one night on our way to Olympic National Park and I’m so glad we did. The grounds are SO well maintained and the owners are super nice. There are cute flower beds all around and the cabins are adorable.

We are not hard to please. Just need space for dog fence. No problems checking in. Laundry. Bitterroot river on site. Children's fish lake. Did not use bath facilities. Looked good from out side. Cabins are log and adorable. Big ponderosa pine. Small store, with restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. Super friendly staff. Gravel sites. Level.

I’ve stayed in many forest service cabins and this is by far my least favorite. The location is perfect as it’s right on como and can fit large groups of people. However, we stayed in the winter and the fireplaces needed to be refilled hourly to keep it somewhat comfortable. Also all night you could hear mice and some other kind of animal in the ceiling. It was very dirty and not well maintained. Most of the furniture was broken. Would never stay again.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The husband and wife that run this are very nice. At check in it was raining so we decided to eat at the restaurant. Simple menu with good burgers (beef,bison and elk) also good selection of local beers. After we ate , we went down stairs to the game room and played pool, table soccer and checkers for about 4 hours. We went ahead and took showers in the downstairs bathroom/ shower house. Huge clean shower stalls. Afterwards we moved down to our campsite and went to sleep in our roadtrek. This campground is small but offers rv sites, cabins, teepees and covered wagons. So far on our month long trip (two weeks in) this is our family favorite!

This is my favorite lookout that I have been to so far. The price was very cheep for what you get and they stay open late into the fall season, however you have to be equipped to handle snow. we only saw some deer which were still fun to observe.

When we went it was a winter retreat for us and we had to pay someone to take us up there by snowmobile as we did not feel like renting snowshoes and getting there ourselves, but this is a feasible route to get here to see the winter wonderland.

It was for sure a romantic getaway to remember.
