Bernie & Sharons Riverfront RV Park

A Hidden Gem on the River with Exceptional Hospitality!

Our stay at Bernie and Sharon’s Riverfront RV Park was absolutely fantastic! The location is stunning – nestled right by the river, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to relax and reconnect with nature.

The hospitality was truly exceptional. Bernie and Sharon went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We enjoyed a cozy campfire thanks to their generosity in providing a fire ring and even a couple of logs to get us started. Their thoughtfulness made the experience even more memorable!

We also camped in our Tesla, and the park was fully equipped for EV travelers with a 14-50 amp outlet, making it super convenient to charge our vehicle while we enjoyed the great outdoors.

The amenities were spotless, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. Whether you’re looking to fish, explore the surroundings, or simply unwind by the water, this RV park has everything you need for a perfect getaway.

Thank you, Bernie and Sharon, for an amazing experience! We’ll definitely be back for another unforgettable stay.

          I’d take a pass...

          …unless it's late & you’re desperate for a camp site.

Plenty of available sites in October— other campers were mainly hunters (or fishers).  No camp host; ADA pit toilet only one open (comfort station closed); all water was winterized & no elec hook-up available.  (Fees sign— see photo-- left no indication that fees were seasonal; we were ready with our contribution but since nobody to collect, we didn’t leave it.)   24 sites (1 ADA) + 2 tipi sites, all nicely spaced & shrubbery for privacy; #1-12 by the river.

The biggest deterrent to this CG is the many trains that came through during the night— 3-4/hr, all night— and they all blasted their whistles 3-4 times each!  I guess if you are immuned to that, this would be a great campsite.

          Awesome! Great views!

Our stay at Lost Moose Meadows Campground was perfect! What a beautiful location in Lincoln, MT. It’s the perfect place to camp and hit the trails on an ATV or side by side. The wife and I, along with our puppy, spent 3 days and 2 nights in early October. The campground is well maintained, every site has hookups, a fire pit and plenty of room for privacy. The restrooms/showers are very accommodating, clean and smelled good. The wife thought they were the best she had the pleasure of utilizing! Our hosts, Matt and Nicole Simpkins, were a pleasure. If you are going to RV in Lincoln, MT, I would definitely recommend this campground. They’re prices are cheap and even offer a military discount.

Seeley Lake Lolo Campground (MT) — Lolo National Forest

Beautiful campsites next to the lake!

The campsites are big and spacious. Even though the sites are open, they still feel private thanks to the natural layout and surrounding trees. The lake is incredibly clear and beautiful. One of the highlights of our stay was the stunning sunrise over the water—waking up to those colors reflecting off the lake was absolutely breathtaking. There was only a few campers when we were there. Warning: there are bears in the area. We didn't see any, but saw some evidence of them.

Great Camping Spot - Buys end of Season

Great camping spot. We camped over on a Friday night at the end of September. Free because it was out of the normal season, but because it was the last sliver of summer, it definitely filled up. However, they only had the first loop open (group and second loop of sites were closed). Being out of normal season, trash was all locked up but not a big deal.

Lake was spectacular and beautiful, would recommend!

          Missoula KOA Holiday

          Only game in town

The Missoula KOA appears to be the only game in town.  I guess that is why they can charge a premium price and leave you with two choices, take it or leave it.  Only problem is we could not find another place so we "took it".

This is a big and busy campground.  Lots of good things about it.  For example, for a premium price, you can get a site with your own private dog run.  Two older but OKay hot tubs and a heated swimming pool.  Bicycle and other stuff rental.  Everything from tent sites, cabins, small full hook-up sites to large spacious premium sites.  Despite some of the bad reviews, the staff was very friendly to us and, because of no parking for our Tesla, they were able to move us to a better site.  WARNING:  You are not allowed to plug in any electric car.  We were warned that if we plugged in our Tesla, we would be fined and asked to leave the park immediately.  The Tesla supercharger was less than two miles away so no problem for us.  Wifi was great.  34 mbs.  AT&T was 2 bars 5G.

The BAD:  Very busy.  Many days in summer they are 100 per cent booked.  Make reservations early and be specific what you need.  Be ready to pay a premium price, even for tent camping.  Camp is old but well kept.  Bathrooms are clean but very old style and shower stalls are very small and not handicapped friendly.  Surrounded by lots of older double-wide's.  Some well kept and some not so well kept.  Not friendly to electric cars (see warning above).  Several times during our stay they paused their golf cart in front of our Tesla,  I assume making sure we did not plug in.

          For the Hot Springs

The campground is fine. It has toilets and showers. Not much to write about. The sites are all different sizes, but had 30amp and water for $40 a night. The Hot Springs are $15 and worth the relaxation. This is old Montana so don’t expect fancy, but unique. The host was kind enough to keep be us to a spot not in between a bunch of RVs which was nice.

No cell service but the Hot Springs, the bar and the office all have wifi.

I look forward to visiting with them with each visit. Beautiful space very spread out and restrooms/shower facilities very clean and well kept. campers are situated to where they are not right on top of each other, in-fact are very generously spaced apart. It is close to the community of Lincoln Mt and there are ample opportunities to recreate in the vicinity. Alway looke forward to returning.

          Sweet spot by the creek

Old lady was sweet to us, I saw the reviews about her being not so sweet but she was nice and got us in last minute. The gentleman brought us a whole tractor full of wood and was nice as well. Trees were down like other reviews stated, they mentioned they had a massive storm. Not something I feel they should be judged for, they were concerned about my kids and asked them to keep away from the left side because of that.

          Go ANYWHERE but here

Go ANYWHERE but here The park is in a perfect location and Rebecca works endlessly to keep the place beautiful. However, I truly believe maintenence is her only asset. Her public relations and personality are in NO way appropriate for management. That being said I want to thank her for being rude and abrasive. Thank you for yelling at all my friends. Thank you for coming out with your hands are your hips interrogating anyone for coming into the park. Thank you for yelling at my 85 year old mother when she was confused on how to get out of the park. Thank you for never ever putting your dogs on a leash, breaking park rules. Thank you for allowing your friends in the park to allow their dogs to bark all day long when they are gone. Thank you for playing favorites and allowing your friends to play loud music while YOU party with them down by the bonfire. Thank you for screaming my name through the park and BANGING in my door when I forgot to pick up my dogs poo one time when you KNOW I pick up others people's more than 10 times. Thank you for driving your cart and your husband driving the bobcat WAY over 5 mph yet SCREAMING at me and my friends going 4 mph(I have video) I Thank you because without you doing all of those horrible things Embarassing me and my family and friends, I would have stayed there missing an opportunity to find a loving caring landlord on horse property that I will gladly pay rent for a very long time. I am not surprised that you have to advertise that place. Every other RV park is PACKED with no openings. When I left, there were 8 open long term parking. Sad, in this economy I know people that are homeless because they will never stay there. I am a travel nurse and speak to hundreds of travelers and I will never recommend this place. Infact, I will go out of my way to detour them. If the owners actually read this..... seriously reevaluate your management choices she is not appropriate for this position. Signed Happy to be ANYWHERE but Black Rabbit RV park. PS have your husband please stop hitting your poor puppy!

          Great and quiet campsite

Nothing too wild about this site, but nice views and relatively quiet. Sites are along a small side road that Patel’s off the main road, with a few pretty clean pit toilets. We saw one spigot as well. Each site had parking, picnic table, and fire pit. Campsites on the creek side butt right up to the bluffs above the creek, so make sure to keep little ones and dogs close at hand! Very close to the welcome creek trailhead which is definitely worth an afternoon - although be warned, welcome creek trail is not super popular and this will require some bushwhacking. As well, there is a pretty sketchy single-log “bridge” you must traverse if you’re still in a high flow season. The suspension bridge over rock creek definitely has a great view though and is worth a look at!

          Very secluded

So the road is gravel and pretty far with private property signs on both sides til you get there. Directions take you there with no problem. Two bathroom locations and spots along the creek. No wildlife while we was there. A few other campers but all spaced apart well so it was secluded. It is 15$ and you have a QR code to scan to pay, however there is ZERO signal there to get online to pay so we paid once we left and got back into town for the night we stayed.

Site 7 Was Amazing over the 4th of July!

We don't usually do RV parks but didn't want to fight for camp spots during the 4th of July long weekend. We ended up booking here on the 4th and 5th of July and had a great time camping along the river, going to the hot springs across the street and walking the area. This is a beautiful resort and a little more on the campy side which we liked.

The fireworks show was spectacular and from site 7 which sits right on the bend of the creek where there is a brush clearing. This was perfect for our golden retriever as we could tie her on a long lead and she could swim her heart out. Site seven also seemed really large compared to other as there was a large tree between the next site where we tied up a hammock.

One thing to mention on camp 7 is that its one of the few areas with the brush cleared wide open on the creek. If you don't put a camp chair or something to the side of the picnic table, we found other campers will come and hang out there in your campsite as they must think its an open space to get to the water. After putting a chair there, we were disturbed less.

The hot springs accross the highway are $12 a person and we took a hot soak in the 106 degree enclosed mineral bath/pool area and rotated to the 86 degree pool outside. Kids and families all seemed to stay in the pool area while adults in the mineral bath area. Its more rustic hot springs but we did find it nice and someone told me they drain the mineral bath nightly and pressure wash it for the next day (unconfirmed)

If you are coming on the 4th of July, I'll let you know the music starts around 4pm where the have a DJ playing music till about 10pm on the other side of the highway near the restaurant were the majority of people watched and shot off fireworks of their own. We enjoyed the camp site knowing that it was just for that day and planned it would be a loud night which it was. The fireworks started around 8/9pm and went to about 1 am. The show seemed to wrap up around 10:30 but was hard to tell what was the show vs people shooting off their own. We ended up going to bed around 11pm but booms and crackles kept us up till the crowd died down. We didn't mind but thought I'd mention if you plan to come for a quite evening over this holiday.

          Jocko Hollow Campground

          They accommodated us last mint

This is a cute little camp site. We were right next to the river which was amazing. But some of the sites are for permanent residents, which feels weird. They have a laundry room, showers and bathrooms. Not the cleanest. But do the trick. A little road noisy. But loved the attention to the flowers and the grounds.
