Double Falls Campground sits along Ford Creek in Lewis & Clark National Forest, a few hundred yards below a waterfall that draws visitors even when they skip the campsites themselves. Road conditions are the most important factor here: the internal campground roads become muddy and difficult when wet, making dry-weather visits strongly advisable. No water is available on-site, and the campground operates on a pack-in, pack-out basis. There is no fee. Toilets are provided. With up to four sites, a picnic table, and a fire ring, this spot works best for self-sufficient campers with high-clearance vehicles who want a free overnight stop near Wood Lake and other campgrounds near Augusta.
Description
CampgroundBears may frequent the area; keep all food out of sight in approved containers and remove all food from area after eating. Mandatory food storage is required.
