Stayed one night at the KOA in Oak Grove, just east of Kansas City. The sites were all sunny and since it was 100 degrees, it was hot. But the pool was nice and they had a nice dog park which was ok in the evening after it cooled off. Close to KC so we could drive in for BBQ.

Great please to camp, not to crowded. Got busier on the weekends, empty on the week. Nice showers and toilets, laundry. Campsites were large, many had a good footprint enough to set up a large tent. We have a 20’ round yurt and had plenty of room. Lots of hiking trails in this park, some paved. Nice lookout point. Dog park was nice, well gated and taken care of, had water station for thirsty dogs. We spent 25$ a night for a 30amp electric site. Campground was well maintained. Only minutes from the historic town of Westin, amazing parks, lots of pubs and little restaurants. Nice place to walk around. I would camp here again.

During the camping season this campground has nice large shower houses and clean bathrooms. They sell ice and firewood at gates. Pleasant campground, very nice lake. I camp with kids from infant through 18 and hot showers and decent bathrooms are a must for us. Close to Smithville Missouri.

This state park is a hidden gem in central Missouri. It has something to offer everyone in the family. There are several small lakes and plenty of hiking trails to keep everyone busy. The campground is one of the better ones in the state park system. They are spread out and are level. The bathhouse has been newly renovated. The people in the park are some of the friendliest we have come across.
GuideWeston Bend is less than half an hour from our home, but at the same time, it seems a world away. We enjoy camping there to get away from routine and responsibilities and simply hang out at our camper. The campground is wooded, generally cool, and peaceful. All camp spots are well-shaded and nestled within the woods. It's easy to take a quick jaunt into Weston for wine-tasting or exploring it's quaint shops. Or you can hike or bike in the Weston Bend park and check out the nearby Missouri River from the park's overlook.

Front desk said there were no pull thru’s available for our 34 ft but when I told them the website showed sites available if we unhook, they said ‘Yes those are available “. Good thing I checked the website first or we would have looked elsewhere so be sure to ask if your denied. There’s an area very close by to park your tow vehicle. $1.00 single scoop Blue Bell ice cream at the office in a waffle cone was a great treat. The free pancake breakfast was great and they had fun kids activities. Nice doggie playground with grass.

ScoutEasy to reserve online, but the camp registration office was closed when we rolled in right after 5. The tent campsites are just a small patch of turf, but they do have tables and a nice fire pit. It was a little noisy as everyone was on top of each other and we did get a little bit of sewage smell at our site. Pool and mini golf are awesome!

GuideLet's Share COVID and a campfire song. When we booked a tent site in the KOA we didn't expect much but assumed it would work for the night while driving across the USA. Upon arrival we were a little put off by being stuck with several other tents in a field and noticed we were expected to share our fire ring with the tent next door... this was not ok with us and we left promptly and snagged a nice spot in the nearby Blue Springs Recreation Area. Traveling during summer 2020 has been interesting and to expect strangers to share a fire ring and be crammed very close during a pandemic is not only careless but not fun. UGH

RangerWe stayed in site 22 last night on our way to South Dakota. The check in experience was easy, the site was clean and place was nice. We arrived late and hungry and were able to go across the highway to KC BBQ ribs and it was delicious! They also deliver to the campground! This campground was being enjoyed by families and it was nice to see kids playing on a playground.

GuideWe offer a perspective on RV camping "off peak" (late fall and early spring). This KOA has a nice eastern exposure for morning sun, and lots of pull through sites. On the downside, if you're sensitive to nearby road noise, there's a lot of Jake Brakes on I-70 which, at least in the absence of tree foliage, is all over the park.

This was the second campground I visited with my new camper. It was easy to get to, beautiful overlooking the lake, and was clean. The hiking trails were overgrown and no longer accessible.

ScoutWe are camping here while doing the Cotopaxi Questival Adventure Race. It's a very nice setting in a Grove of trees atop a hill. Both electric and primitive sites are available. The bathrooms are the nicest campground bathrooms I've ever used - large, clean, and not communal, so you get a sink, toilet, and shower all to yourself. This campground is in close proximity to the lake, trails, and many other outdoorsy diversions!
ScoutVisiting KC for the Cotopaxi Questival and decided to camp for the weekend. Quaint little campground with a nice new shower and bathroom facility. Had some noisy neighbors that were too be desired...however the rangers came by a couple times to quiet them down and we got a fairly quiet night of sleep. Some road noise and planes flying over, but overall it was pretty quiet. The camp host was very nice and let us change campsites to get a better spot. Site 11 has a little plug in where you can charge your devices ;)
