Beacon RV Park

Beacon RV Park, near St. Joseph, Missouri, is a straightforward spot for those looking to park their RV or pitch a tent. It offers full hookups, which is a big plus for many campers, but be prepared for a tight squeeze—space can be limited.

The park is pet-friendly, so you can bring your furry friends along for the adventure. Visitors have mentioned the helpfulness of the owners, who go out of their way to assist guests, even moving vehicles to help you back into your spot. While the amenities are basic, you’ll find drinking water, sanitary dump stations, and toilets available.

If you’re hoping for a nature escape, keep in mind that the surroundings are more urban, with trailers packed in closely. Some campers have pointed out that the grounds could use a bit of TLC, but the friendly vibe makes up for it. Plus, you’re just a short drive from the city, where you can explore local dining and attractions.

Whether you’re just passing through or staying a bit longer, Beacon RV Park serves its purpose for a night’s rest. Just remember to keep your expectations in check, and you might find it’s just what you need for a quick stop.

Tight but has full hookups

A lot of full timers here, not really anywhere to park (have room for about 1 vehicle). Owner had to have the neighbors move their vehicles just to be able to back into spot. Very helpful and nice owners though!

Disappointing

One night stand. Would not do it again. Filthy, jam packed, pull in at night, gone by 6 am.

A lot to be desired

We stayed here because there weren’t any other places available. Staff is very kind but the grounds were unclean and it needs a lot of updates. It was located in a city setting and trailers were crammed in everywhere. Not much privacy and not much nature.
