Dub Patton Campground

Fishing enthusiasts will find direct access to Arkabutla Lake at this Corps of Engineers campground, where sites accommodate RVs up to 54 feet with water and electric hookups. The forested setting provides shade for most sites, though Wild Sage F. notes that "site 9 and site 10 are by far the most beautiful sites in the camp" due to their lakefront positioning. These prime spots sit close together, so groups often book them as a pair.

The campground maintains clean facilities year-round, with flush toilets and heated shower houses that impressed winter visitors. Sites feature spacious layouts with room to maneuver larger rigs, though the access road can present challenges during wet conditions. A dump station operates near the entrance for departing campers. Storm damage has left plenty of fallen timber for firewood collection around the grounds.

Campers report minimal ranger presence during busy periods, which can affect noise enforcement between closely spaced sites. Cell service runs weak with Verizon showing one bar, though signal boosters can improve reception. The $30 nightly rate drops to $10 for senior pass holders. For those exploring the broader region, places to camp near Hernando offer additional options within a short drive of this lakeside location.

A COE campground with water/electric hookups featuring clean facilities and some attractive lakefront sites. Visitors often highlighted the well-maintained restrooms and spacious individual sites, though site spacing and maintenance consistency received mixed feedback.

Lil trashy

Decent camp ground if the grounds were better maintained, lots of trash at all of the sites. We tent camped and the tent pads were ok nothing to brag right home about but functional. Your also nut to butt with all the other sites, talking some are less than 10ft apart. Also there was a mondo dump left in 2 of the toilets at the rest room near our site.

Very well kept, quiet, comfortable

We stayed 2 nights in December. Needless to say no crowds but the showers and bathrooms were spotless and warm. Easy back in spot with water and electric. Dump station on the way out. Lot of storm damage trees made firewood plentiful. Pleasant stay.

Nice spot

I booked number 9. It was right on the lake, but shade was limited. The place is fairly clean, and there are clean bathrooms and showers. Over all it’s all right. Nothing too fascinating.

Nice spot

I went there during the 4th of July weekend. Site 9 and site 10 are by far the most beautiful sites in the camp in my opinion. They are right on the lake and relatively separate from the other sites. However, I do recommend getting those sites together for a group. While they are separate from others, both site are on top of each other and I felt I had no privacy from my neighbors who had their radio on all night long. The place is clean and safe for a female solo camper, there are showers as well. Both showers and restrooms are clean. However, the ranger drove by only twice during the day and I wish there was someone else to attend the camp to ensure others are following the rules.

Nice!

No sewer, water and electric only. Sites are clean and well kept.
