We like it small: With just 36 sites, we may be the smallest campground in the area, and that allows us to focus on you! Just let us know your needs, and we will do our best to make sure you have a great time while you are here!

We like the outdoors: We believe that camping is about connecting with nature and enjoying the outdoors. Bring the gear of your choice and take off on a biking expedition through rural countryside, canoe or kayak miles of beautiful river, or grab the waders and poles and seek out magic holes for gills and perch for a weekend fish fry. Bring the boat and head out after trophy muskies in the annually-stocked Thornapple Lake, or just cruise, float, or even ski if that's your pleasure. Kids love the sandy beach at Historic Charlton Park, and walkers enjoy the wooded trails throughout its 320-acre recreation area. If you want to slow down for the weekend, bring your favorite book and read by the river, or enjoy an evening fire with friends and family

We're really not too far away: Barry County is just an hour - or less - away from Lansing, Battle Creek, Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. A gem of rural recreation with no freeways and a simple, country style, you won't believe you haven't found your way here before. Located between Hastings and Nashville, Rivergate Family Campground offers a convenient place to stay while enjoying sports, festivals, events or family reunions in the area.
