Otsego Lake State Park

Beautiful park. Every worker was extremely kind and helpful. The bathrooms and showers were clean as was the whole park. Will be coming back here for sure!

First time, will be back!

We had a chilly Memorial Day weekend but were very impressed with the campground. Great mix of activities for the kids. Big park but felt small, no problems with traffic and golf carts like we have experienced at other “resort” style campgrounds. All sites are full hookup and there are just enough…

Love this place!

Great, quiet, cozy place to take kids or anyone for that matter. Right on the river and clean, flat lots.

Quiet & small

We chose this campground due to location (family event nearby). The sites are spacious and clean. The campground had 4 other occupied sites (seasonal?). We never saw another person during our visit. The sites have electric only. Water is shared between 3-4 sites, so you better bring a hundred feet…

  • Our site seemed to be the only one with a sledding hill.
  • Very clean shower. Only one stall.

Quiet Rustic

Pit toilets and pump well. Most sites are on the lake and there is a boat launch. Elk viewing on the way in.

Incredibly beautiful and secluded

We stumbled on this campground accidentally but I am sure happy that we did! What a beautiful place. We were there in the late fall, so I imagine it most likely gets busy in the summer seeing as half the sights have lake access. Although, for a beautiful fall weekend there was wasn’t more than 3…

One of our favorites

Without a doubt this is one of our favorite campgrounds.  It's a bit older, so the campsites are quite large compared to modern campgrounds.  There are huge trees throughout, easily navigable roads, etc.  There are two sections to the park, one a bit smaller with a gorgeous new bathroom.  The other…

Great Location-Friendly Staff

Awesome Campground! Not a parking lot, lots of trees! We had a family, socially distant reunion with 6 sites. We rented a extra site, so nobody could rent near us, sooo nice! Very close to Manistee River and canoe/raft liveries, very fun family togetherness activity.

Very clean bath houses and…

So many activities

This resort is great if you are wanting a bustling campground full of activities. There is a pool, jump pad, miles and miles of mountain biking trails and hiking trails, a man made lake which has some inflatable water toys. The campground also has a pool, hammock area, bikes and other rental toys,…

Spacious campsites, well-maintained campground.

We spent three nights at Canoe Harbor in mid-September 2020 and thought it was wonderful. Campsites were spacious and had nice stands of trees in between to provide privacy. Fire rings had a great design. Vault toilets were kept clean and stocked. Paths from campsites connect to the Au Sable and…

Our Goto Fish Camp

This has been out camp for fishing on the South Branch for 20 years now. The campground has far more sites than are ever used, so finding a site is almost always easy. The access to the river is fantastic, with multiple trails and access points easily accessible with a short walk.

Calm and quaint

Small, calm little campground. Some sites are at the lake, little beach, (no pets allowed at the beach). We had a great relaxing stay. Good for stopping, on your way to the UP or else. But since the lake is all private property it lacks the wilderness charm . Still a very nice campground to…

Very Nice

Nice large sites. Some full hookups, unusual for Michigan state parks that I’ve seen.

The camping is dispersed with walk in sites or drive in. There is a variety of pit toilets with trash pick up.
