Otsego Lake County Park operates a seasonal campground that draws campers to the shores of Otsego Lake south of Gaylord. The campground splits into two distinct sections with different atmospheres. The north side places sites closer together near the playground, beach, and pavilion, creating a more social environment. The south side spreads campsites farther apart under tree cover, offering more privacy for those preferring quieter stays. Most sites provide lake views, though surfaces remain primarily dirt rather than grass or gravel.
Lake access features a sandy beach with some rocky areas, while the classic playground includes swings, slides, and climbing tires. Ann D. notes that "drinking water spouts are around the campground" since individual sites lack water hookups. The facility provides restrooms, showers, and a dump station, though some campers report the bathroom facilities show their age.
Four rental cabins sit directly on the lakefront for visitors preferring indoor accommodations. Reservations help secure preferred sites, particularly those with prime lake views that tend to fill quickly during peak summer months.
