Stay in the quiet and breathtaking woods of Northern Michigan. Located on the 45th parallel and nestled near the Alpine Village of Gaylord, our Basecamp to the Great Outdoors is the perfect getaway for you and your family or group. Our campground is the source of endless fun and adventure with walking trails, a brand new playground and jump pad, a swimming pool for all, a mini golf course and Gaga ball pit. You can use one of our many banana bikes or 4-wheel pedal carts to get around, whether that's to visit our camp store or to go sluicing in Up North Mining Company, and on your way, you can stop by our KampK9 Park for your four-legged group members to enjoy in the fun too.
The adventure doesn't stop outside the campground. Northern Michigan is home to many great lakes for fishing and water sports, plus trails for hiking and biking from Gaylord to Mackinaw City, such as The Iron Belle Trail and the North Central State Trail. You can also take a day trip to Mackinaw City, home of the Mackinac Bridge and Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse, see the incredible Thunder Bay Underwater Preserve or visit the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum. Our campground is also located in the heart of the Gaylord Golf Mecca, with many golf courses to choose from. Gaylord is home to many great events and festivals year-round, the most unique is Alpenfest!
