Part of the Newberry State Forest Area, High Bridge State Forest Campground sits along the Two Hearted River with 6-8 sites available on a first-come basis. The Michigan DNR Forest Resources Division manages this forested campground, which operates from April through October at $20 per night.
Campers access the sites by both vehicle and boat, though RVs are limited to 20 feet maximum. Basic amenities include pump water, vault toilets, picnic tables, and trash receptacles. The riverside location provides direct fishing access, though visitors should prepare for significant bug pressure during peak season. For additional forest camping, Perch Lake State Forest Campground offers a different lakeside setting nearby.
