Great year round campground
We found this gem a few years ago and it’s a great place to setup for a weekend any time of year

My favorite place
This is my go-to rustic campground for short notice weekend getaways. Quiet, off the beaten path, and lightly trafficked. The campground offers fire pits and picnic tables at each site. Pit toilets in two areas of the grounds and a water pump. No electric or sewer hook ups, but it is large enough for campers. Its tucked in right next to the Manistee river, so bring your suit and a tube, kayak, or paddle board for day trips or floating. It’s also great for shooting stars at night since the campground is about 15 miles from any main roads. It’s a really lovely place. I’ve been coming here for years and I hope nothing ever changes.
