Small and simply equipped, Buttercup Campground sits within Huron National Forest along a river corridor in McKinley, Michigan. The US Forest Service manages the site, which runs from mid-April through November 30. Amenities are minimal: vault toilets only, no hookups. RVs are limited to 20 feet. Campers wanting more facilities nearby can consider McKinley Horse Trail Campground, roughly 3 miles to the west.
Description
Au Sable National Scenic River A small, quiet campground, this site is primarily used by river paddlers. Located in stands of mixed hardwoods and pine, campers may be surprised by a wildlife visitor or two while enjoying close-up views of the river.
