Awesome Hike and Great Campsites

Trail is easy enough and there are so many different spots to camp along the way. It is foot travel only and most sites are a decent hike to get to.

Loop de loop

Beautiful loop that I can’t wait to stay at for a night or so! Went 3 years back for a mid day hike in the winter and it was gorgeous with snow and ice! The campsites are first come first serve and they are rustic. If you are a minimalist, this loop is for you! The trail is only about 8 miles but it would be easy to spend a day next to the water or a little inland. We saw canine prints and heard the call of the wild during our winter hike, and had zero issues with meeting our predator neighbors. Remember to respect THEIR territory. Stopped for a hot soup lunch with our stove and warmed up.

A Backcountry Beauty

Love this area! It is such a great weekend hike to some beautiful backcountry scenery. Not heavily trafficked, and most of the campsites have a pretty decent set up from past campers. Depending on your route, you can make this hike long or short. It’s perfect for an overnight or a weekend getaway. The trail is easy to follow and the camping areas are simple to find.
