Access to Big Erics Bridge State Forest Campground comes via a mostly paved road in poor condition, so drivers with low-clearance vehicles should plan accordingly. The campground sits in forested terrain near camp sites near Skanee, managed by the MIDNR Forest Resources Division and open April through November. No cell service reaches this area. Nightly cost runs $20 plus an $11 daily state park fee unless campers carry the $39 annual pass. There is no trash service, pack-out is required, and the only facility on-site is a vault toilet. Mouth of the Huron Dispersed Camping sits roughly 4 miles northeast for those wanting a different setup.
