Chain-O-Lakes Campground sits within a forested park outside Bellaire, Michigan, drawing drive-in campers with full hookup sites and access to the lakes that give the park its name. Sites accommodate rigs up to 100 feet with electric, water, and sewer connections, and the campground also has WiFi, showers, and a dump station on-site. Reservations are available, which matters here: the grounds see enough traffic that sites fill up, and each site is limited to one tent and one car.
Reviewers consistently note that the grounds are kept clean and the camp store is reasonably priced compared to similar facilities. Waterfront sites in sections like Honeysuckle sit directly on a lake, fully shaded, though spacing between adjacent fire rings runs close. The campground can get noisy. Pit toilets and flush facilities are both a short walk from most sites, in opposite directions.

Downtown Bellaire, about eight minutes away, has a brewery and small shops for a break from camp. Torch Lake is close, and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is reachable within roughly an hour.
Campers who want a different setup nearby can look at Antrim Meadows Campground to the southeast or Rapid River Campground to the south for alternative configurations.
