Campout at Hostel SoHa

Hostel SoHa is two 5,000 square foot buildings on 7 acres of private land in the process of being renovated into the first youth hostel in west Michigan. This summer we are welcoming budget travelers, car-campers, backpackers, tent campers, hikers, bike-packers, van and bus lifers, RVers, or just your average young adult in search of a fun place to stay in South Haven, to the property for overnight parking, camping, and fun events.

We are located directly off M-43 and only a 5 minute drive to the beach; downtown South Haven; and Walmart, Aldi, and Meijer. We are also a 5 minute drive from the Kal-Haven trailhead and can help hikers and bike-packers arrange a pick up or drop off from there.

This fun and central location is best suited for adults ages 18-35, but we welcome anyone looking for a unique, social camping experience. There will be events weekly that are NOT suitable for families with children or individuals who are looking for a quiet getaway.

There are indoor bathrooms (showers not open yet) and an indoor common area with a phone charging station, lockers for valuables (BYO lock), and a fridge. There is a lit outdoor picnic and bonfire social space with yard games and weekly events. There is also one-of-a-kind gift store on site with a front desk you can ask questions at.
