Tiny Cabins of Maine is on 100 acres of wooded land on a 25 acre pond. On the property are two tiny cabins (Roxie and Maybelle) and one tent site. Each cabin is fully insulated and has a tiny wood stove to make it comfortable all 4 seasons!
Each cabin has a comfortable fully sized bed, a mini woodstove, a composting toilet, kitchen essentials, an outside firepit, and plenty of wood. The tent site is a clearing in the woods with a popup tented porta-potty, and a firepit.
2 kayaks, a yak board, 2 paddleboards and a canoe are at the dock for guests to use. There is an outside Pizzeria with a woodfired pizza oven and table for two, an axe throwing target with 6 axes and directions to play as well as a clearing by the water called the Pub. There, guests can sit at a high top table, relax in a hammock, play corn hole or have a fire in the chimenea. There are currently about 1.5 miles of trails cleared, with more added each week!
The pond is surrounded by wooded area and it feels remote but road noise can still be heard.

Continuous Harmony Farm is located on the north side of Camden Hills State Park. When this area was originally settled, the farm was located on the "highway" from Camden to seasonal pastures in Lincolnville. The trails leading to the park still go by the old foundations that dotted the old Government Road from Camden. The farm has 46 acres of flowing pasture, hardwood forest and flower and vegetable gardens. At the heart of the property is a large farm pond that has been used to water livestock for generations. We sell protein from all our livestock listed above, eggs, and other products here on the farm as well as making home deliveries. All products are available for purchase by guests upon request. Many of our guests bring an extra coolers for the purchase of our homegrown product. If don't have a cooler with you we can also supply one for you.
Animal Care & Respect for the Land:
Royer Valley Farm is always a farm first. We allow our property and animals to be shared by our guests and farm customers. Please know our animals must be respected at all times. Always keep pets out of the livestock areas. No guest or guest pet will running after, chase, or harass in anyway any livestock, animals, or pets. Our land was purchased by Amy and Richard Royer, Jr. on September 1st 2016 after more than a year of being almost homeless. By the grace of Heavenly Father, He has blessed us with the stewardship of this little piece of His vineyard on earth. As in the care and respect of our animals we also demand the same for the ground we walk on the air we breathe, and the water we drink. No burning of plastics or other garbage, dumping chemicals, oil or gas anywhere on the property. No littering, do not leave disposable diapers, personal hygiene items, or other disposable personal apparatus anywhere on the property. These actions will not be tolerated and could lead to your removal from the property at any time. Always dispose of your trash in a trashcan or take it off the property when you check out
Camping Conditions:
The farm sits on the side of a hill with sloping pastures and several acres of forest all of which is available for camping activities most of the time. We are open all year long for camping and other activities. We tend to receive several feet of snow in the winter months. However, we welcome any one that would like to do some winter-camping to consider staying with us, we’d be happy to host you. We have plenty of areas for people to camp; some are accessible by car, some areas the guest would need a four wheel drive vehicle, other guests choose to hike to the their special campsite. Part of the beauty of staying with us is choosing your special spot to camp. Give yourself a little extra time to look around to find your campsite or if you just want to setup somewhere simple we can help you out with that as well. Some people get here so late they just decided to forego setting up a tent and sleep in their vehicle for the night whatever you are comfortable with is fine. Come and explore our farm and enjoy the property we have been blessed with and love to share with people from all over the world.
Reserving a Campsite:
Please know all campsite numbers on our farm are interchangeable. For example: You’re looking at our listings in the reservation section and you like Campsite #1. But Campsite #1 is booked for the days you want to stay. Please just book the next campsite that’s open like Campsite #2. The numbers really don’t matter. If you like a posted picture please let us knows and I will try to hold that area for you. For returning campsite guests if you enjoyed the area you stayed in on your last visit please let us know and if no one has reserved that spot we will hold it for you.
Rustic Campsites:
All of our camping sites are rustic with no water, sewer, or electric hookups. Toileting is done in an outhouse. We expect the outhouses area to be kept clean at all times for your safety and that of other guests. Toilet paper, disinfectant, air fresheners, lime dust, hand sanitizer, and paper towels are provided.

Parking:
Each Campsite is limited to two vehicles per site all others must park in designated parking area by farmhouse.
Guests Limited:
5 people per reservation with extra fees paid at time of reservation.
Pets:
Pets are also allowed guest must notify us of any pets that will accompany them at the time you make your reservation. Fees will be charged per pet per stay. Please see our pet policy.
Tenters:
We limit camping gear to one tent or camper per reservation.
Additional tents can be added to a tenting reservation at $25.00 per additional tent per night (via cash/card).
RV's and Camper Trailer: aka “Campers”
All campers must have separated reservation.
Check with us prior to reservation to a sure we have a space level or big enough for your particular camper.
Additional Tents can be added to a camper reservation at $25.00 per additional tent per night. Understand if a camping guest arrives with more than one tent they will have to pay for the extra tent before staying that night and campsite guest numbers apply.
Campfires:
Don't leave any trash at the campsite on the ground or in the fire-rings.
Don't burn any plastic, glass, rubber, or metal. If you choice to burn food waste please ensure the fire totally consumes the product before leave.
We have trash cans set up at the Farmstore entrance for trash and deposit bottles.
All campfires are to be kept in the designated fire-rings on your campsite and never left unattended. Fire-rings are not to be relocated!
All fires must be extinguished before leaving your campsite unattended and at check out
Rental Equipment:
We offer an A La’Carte Rental menu for camping gear for those guests that would like to camp but don’t have their own gear with them. All rental items and supplies must be request before 6:00pm eastern time. All rentals are in addition to the campsite rental fees. Fees will be paid prior to your stay through Airbnb, credit card, or cash. Guests are required to accept all charges if done through Airbnb prior to receiving the service or pay for all service directly to me before staying or receiving services or products. At your request we will setup all your rental equipment and have it ready for you before your arrival and we’ll take it down once you check out, you can leave the work to us and enjoy your stay on the farm.

COMMON AREA POLICY, RULES & ETIQUETTE:

•Please don’t leave personal belongings in these areas.
•Always clean up after yourselves and your family.
•Leave every common area in better condition than you found. This makes everyone’s experience more enjoyable.

Common Fire Pit:
•Located behind main farmhouse all guests are welcome to join us for conversation and to get to know your neighbors. When the fire is lit bring a chair, something to cook or roast if you desire, and a story and enjoy the night with us.
•This fire can be initiated and used by any of our guests. Be aware no matter who starts the Common Fire Pit, they have just invited everyone to join them! There is a fee for firewood that is provided by the farm. As always if gathered from the forest floor it's free for the taking.
Farm Pond and Berm:
•The Farm Pond and berm is a common area please shares this area.
Campsites:
•Please maintain a 20 foot courtesy distance away from any of our occupied campsite and guests personal belongings.
•When transiting by any of our occupied campsite and the 20 foot distance can’t be maintained please do it by the greatest distance possible and as respectfully as possible. Kindness will be reciprocated.
Animal Danger:
Any animal can be dangerous. Approach all animals calmly and with caution.
Bio-security: for the protection and health of our livestock some areas of our farm is prohibited to guests. These areas are well marked please do not enter these areas without farm staff and proper bio-security followed.
We also maintain electric fencing around our pasture. Guests are to always assume these fences are on and will give a good shock if they are touched in any manner! Other than these areas guest are welcome to explore the farm and visit with the animals.

CAMPSITE TIPS:
1. The flatter the site, the better. If you are camping on an incline, position your tent so that when you lie down, your head will be on the higher ground.
2. Make sure there are no sharp rocks, branches, pinecones, or other debris that might pierce through your tent. Also, if you’re camping in an area with lots of overgrown vegetation, you might need to clear away any especially strong and sturdy vines or short shrubs.
3. A tent position under a tree can provide shade (on a hot summer’s day nothing is quite as hot as being inside the inferno of your tent) and some added shelter.
4. Ground that is especially sandy or loose won’t provide a good place to anchor tent stakes. Make sure the soil where you decide to put up your tent is firm enough to lodge a stake securely into it.

We offer a communal kitchen and shower rooms and the peace and quiet of nature. It’s a short 5 minute walk to Sebec Lake for your boating, swimming and other water sports.
The access trail for snowmobile and ATV are very close to the property with no need to trailer your machines.
We are one hour from Bangor airport and one hour from mount Katahdin.

BF and I wanted a last minute fall weekend getaway in Maine, and ended up at the Augusta-Gardiner KOA. Generally tough to accomplish during leaf-peeping season, but we worked it out. We stayed at site T5, which was wooded but pretty open. Size was decent enough.
Overall, I’d say sites T8, T9, T10 are best if you’re tent camping. While all tent sites are tightly spaced next to one another, these 3 provide the most shade and privacy of the bunch.
Owners are super nice, but the campground could use a little love. Bathrooms and amenities are a little tired. There’s potential though, and some really cute details, like a little fairy house and homemade, bear-carved benches around a KOA-community fire pit, that make the campground endearing. Also, there’s a bunch to do during prime season, particularly for the kiddies- pool, mini-golf, bounce house, playground and space to runaround.

I’ll preface this by saying that we got in after dark and left by 10am so this review is limited. First, while being very nice the front desk worker was not very helpful in helping us understand the layout and our best choice for tent camping that night. She was just not very communicative. After some prodding questions that felt like I was pulling teeth, we chose site 1 which was by the beach and the only tent site in that area of the campground. It was mid Sept on a particularly windy and unseasonably cold night. The wind was coming right off the lake which made it particularly hard to set up. Blocking the wind with our car was our only choice. After we got settled in, a nice fire and a little bourbon made it all worthwhile. While not very private because we were right next to an RV (all the RVs were lined up on the waterfront with little space between), it was still quite a lakefront spot. The site included a picnic table, a fire ring and a charcoal grill. Buckets of well seasoned wood were available at the camp store right next to us. It had a nice porch to sit on for the morning sun but unfortunately, that looked the opposite way from the lake toward the dense central campground. The camp store had a nice indoor dining area with views toward the lake that I believe was also closed for the season. All in all, I would recommend this if you’re not very concerned with privacy and want a beautiful lake to camp by.

There's a handful of private tent sites with picnic tables. Some tent sites have ocean views. The tents sites aren't accessible by car though, so you need to put all your camping equipment into a wagon and pull it to your site.
There's a small pavilion for campground-communal lobster/clam bakes. Showers, laundry, playground, and small camp store are all available.
I definitely like more backcountry camping, but this was the only available campground in the area. It was great for a one-night stay, but it was very busy and too touristy.

I recently stayed at the Tiny Cabins of Maine with my family for two nights, opting for their tent camping site. From the moment we arrived, the host's warm welcome made us feel right at home. Despite some distant road noise at night, the overall ambiance was serene and beautiful. The tent camping amenities, including the pop-up toilet and sturdy wooden platform, were thoughtfully provided. The fire pit and picnic table were perfect for evening gatherings, and the hammock added an extra touch of relaxation. We enjoyed the pub's games and even tried our hand at axe throwing. Kayaking in the pond was a highlight, thanks to the convenient dock. While the trails required attention to follow, the directional signs helped. Overall, I highly recommend Tiny Cabins of Maine for a memorable small family retreat, and we're already looking forward to returning in the future.

We stayed there tent camping for several days and loved it. The shuttle service was super convenient and we used it constantly. There was a fisherman who came in with his days catch and made fantastic food. I simply don’t have anything bad to say.

We've stayed at Duck Puddle several times over the years. The sites have always been tidy and staff friendly. Tent sites are close together but comfortable and the location is very convenient to Damriscotta and other downeast towns.

The staff/owners were very friendly and my tent site was right on the beach. The sunrise and sunset were absolutely gorgeous. The price was incredible given the proximity to the water. The only negative was that the RVs were pretty loud.

Legend
Basically this is a small independent RV park split between season RV campers and regular RV campers. The only reason for a tent camper to go is to take advantage of the laundry room and the nicely scrubbed showers. It’s 5 minutes from Skowhegan and a short 2 minutes from Kennebec Banks rest area on route 2.
There are about 5 tent sites– two of which are on a small point stretching into the confluence of the great Kennebec River and the small Wesserunsett River.
The only two tent sites I would recommend are #50 & #51 on the point with # 51 being most desirable. I absolutely would not recommend any of the other tent sites for various reasons. I used site #51 and pitched my tent about 20ft from the Kennebec. At 6:45am I saw two bald eagles patrolling the Kennebec.
The RV sites that are interesting are the ones directly along the Kennebec. They are sites 39-45; 47A; 47B; 47C; 48; and, they park parallel to the river. Otherwise, it’s a very tight center filled with RV’s and very large motor homes. Sites # 52– 58 may look like they are water sites… but the water feature on the map is only a brushy swamp.
The 2 showers are very good, clean and include a bench. There are 2 flush toilets also sparkling clean; but, they are some distance from The Point. The 24hour self-operated laundry is housed in a small, dedicated bungalow. There are 2-3 docks and canoes to use.
At night, one can clearly hear the noise from route 2 just at the edge of the campground. The river amplifies the sound of cars passing by.

We stayed here for 3 nights at one of the tent sites. Running water, shower and bathrooms and a pool which was nice. This is mostly geared towards RV campers which means more noise and the sites are pretty close together. Other than that, we would definitely stay here again

We love the fresh water and BonFires. there is a playground and a common eating area. the kids feel like they are at summer camp while here. the sites are not very private but there are showers and toilets. the tent sites are private and have water/electric. there are RV sites which are private, but those fill up fast, most rv sites are on a gravel pad area with no privacy.

The check-in couple were awesome! Chatted for a while and made us feel welcomed. The campgrounds were very nice, and our tent site was the largest site on the grounds.
The loss of one star is the pricing. I guess the campgrounds were bought out by some corporate conglomerate last year, and the current pricing shows. We paid $75 for one night. There was water to the site, but no electricity.

Rvs are so close together and some seasonal snobs, but also tent sites some drive up and some walk to more private/dispersed. Small store friendly staff. Some sites have a wooden deck for picnic area overlooking water. Laundry, wifi, made it an easy week. We had rain and wind a couple nights, tarp went over tent as not permitted in trees. Just fine. We will definitely be coming back.

We loved our site. Lots of room for our very large tent! We even put up a hammock and had room to have family over for campfires and meals. Bathrooms were close by and were always clean. It was close enough to the ocean to have a lovely view but not so close that we were swarmed with mosquitoes.
Camp staff was fantastic and the stores were great. Loved exploring tide pools too!

Despite a very recent personal loss, the owners welcomed us with open arms and heartfelt greetings. The grounds and sites were well maintained. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well stocked.
When we arrived, we were given a map with available sites marked and free reign to pick the spot of our liking.
The pricing has increased from the dyrt's listed prices. We paid $40 for a tent site with elec. and water.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Rangermy daughter begs to camp here. As with any KOA they have lots of activities throughout the day for families, and a pool, but she loves the ice pop contest. if you find a painted rock and bring it to the office you get a free ice pop. it’s the simple things in life, right? we tent camp, without power, so we are way out back. no car noise, Private, a bit of a walk to the showers and bathrooms but the privacy is worth it. the staff are always super nice and they sell ice and fIrewood which I always seem to need!

The sites here are nicely wooded and have a decent amount of separation between most of them BUT the campground is located too close to the road and, with the exception of sites 84-87 and cabins 8-10, you will hear road noise in your site. Options are 10 rustic cabins, tent sites, partial and FHU sites.
The bathhouse was very clean and there are both outdoor and indoor showers; both looked nice although we did not use them.
I thought $50 for a tent site was a little steep but it was all the potential extra fees that irked me:
*$30 site lock to ensure you get the site you want when you reserve. I took a chance and was able to get the site I reserved without paying this fee
*$4 weather guarantee (allows you to cancel due to inclement weather). I didn’t bother with this one
*7.95 if you need to hook up to WiFi. We were able to use our own portable WiFi
*$10 to use the dump station (we found another place that charged $5)
Aside from the fees and proximity to the road, this is a nice campground with a host of amenities: pool (which I was surprised was still open on October 1), horseshoes, laundry, dishwashing sink, a playground, and trash pick-up at your site. There is also a path to the shore with picnic tables, and chairs. Repairs to the sea wall are in progress so caution was recommended.

Truly nice folks who built this campground 39 years ago, still run it. Well maintained and full of nice folks. Mostly rv camping with some tent sites. A lot of seasonal rv occupants. Great for families with children but nice for all folks. Two bath areas and a laundry room. Free baths and inexpensive laundry prices. There must be many atv trails nearby as plenty of campers had theirs up and running. About 12 miles south of a point on the AT so plenty of hiking nearby as well. Lots of planned activities and live entertainment on Saturday night. A warm community environment.
ScoutFirst day, my wife was helping our 5 year old climb onto the float like the big kids. 5 minutes later, management came over and said, "I heard you were pulling my float in." No sense of customer relations, just rude. My wife clearly cannot move a float. Even if she could, shouldn't it be chained to the lake floor?

GuideThis campground has beautiful tent sites along the waters edge. The sunsets and sunrises are stunning and the stars at night (some sites have more open sky but at every site you can walk to the tide line OR can walk to the open field) are breathtaking. Nice clean showers. Friendly and helpful staff. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because of how far away the campground is from Acadia and Bar Harbor attractions. While only 16 minutes away from Acadia itself, it takes about 45 min to get to the Cadillac summit from there as reference. However, before that deters you, the campground was super quiet and peaceful during the fall when I visited. Other campgrounds I have stayed at closer to Acadia have had very noisy campers. That peace and quiet is worth the extra time in my opinion.
