White Mountain Dispersed

We arrived pretty late on June 22 and got one of the last available spots for the night. There were a number of decently spaced out sites. We drive an e150 and had no trouble getting to the site, and we saw some other vans, along with RVs and tents. Be careful of ticks! We woke up to one in our bed…

Good things come in small packages!!

Tiny gem of a campground- I don’t RV but even those sites are adorable- each site has heavy evergreens in between allowing for nice privacy- and the grass tent site has that privacy too and were good sized. We stayed down in the sandier sites on the river lots of shade and privacy- took a shuttle…

Coos Canyon

Campground is quite nice, near the canyon. Stayed in lower campground. Roads are very rough so difficult to drive on, at night the grounds are totally pitch dark and far from bathhouse. There is one outhouse available to use as well. Firewood is expensive at $8, and no it's not more wood than we've…

Perfect Roughing it Coastal Campground

One of my favorite places, the perfect coastal campground for checking out and roughing it. Tent & pop-up campers only, with limits on amplified noise and  number campers makes it a great place to relax. Little to no cellphone service so might as well turn the phones off and enjoy nature. There…

Beautiful Location

Town park located on a peninsula. Some sites directly on the ocean with most slightly off the water. Walking trails all around mostly in wooded areas. Good bath houses, but only one with showers located at one end of the campground. No hookups.

Quiet right now

Second week of September and it's super quiet here. Lots of shade and nice site. Easy to get in and out. Friendly staff. Wood for $6, ice for sale too. Pool and playground for the kids. Didn't use showers or bathrooms but they look okay. One coin operated washer/dryer. Located near shopping…

Mountain Bike Heaven

Spent the weekend mountain biking with friends.  Thanks to the Coos Cycling Club and the State Parks system, the mountain bike trails in and around Moose Brook are spectacular.  The park is very clean and well maintained.  We had a very private site, but the other RV sites on the north side of the…

Wonderful Campground!

Papoose is a great campground. They have basically any time of site you could ever want, from tent only sites, to rentable cabins (multiple sizes) to cottages. I always stay at an HHK site - this has it's own personal bathroom with shower, and an outdoor stovetop and sink. It's great to have…

Wonderful experience!!

Incredible campsite, extremely child friendly, with all sort of comforts, brand new bathrooms -never seen such impeccable, decorated and luxury showers in a camping site before!-

Our children loved the place as much as we did and we definitely plan to visit again soon.

Grateful for an…

Good camping

Be sure to bring extensions for electrical and sewer as a lot of sites are set up with difficult connection spots. Relatively level sites, long dirt road to get to is a bit of a problem

Very Nice Campground!

Overall a super nice campground except for our loud and rowdy neighbors playing really terrible honky tonk too loud past 10pm but security handled it, thankfully. A little more on the pricier side but the location is why. Very close to all the touristy things.

Beautiful, primitive Camping!

Hermit island came on high recommendations from long time friends. Like stepping back in time a bit with the general store selling lobsters and the Kelp Shack. You are really out there. I had no cell reception ( okay with me). My site was a tent only and on the bay side. HG2. Note- I could not…
