Excellent if you like primitive camping by the river

I spent three days camped by the river with my little 12 ft pack boat. Caught about a dozen small rainbows anchored at the head of the rapids. No showers or flush toilets which is how I like it. Lake Umagog is a short hop away. Good sized sporting goods shop nearby. No t-mobile reception in the…

Excellent campground

We stayed only one night, but wouldn’t mind at all if we stayed longer. The site was level and quite private. We weren’t able to stay in a lake front sit, but ours was very close to the lake that came with a slight view of the water. There’s a gate that locks between 8 pm and 8 am. You can get a…

White Mountain Dispersed

We arrived pretty late on June 22 and got one of the last available spots for the night. There were a number of decently spaced out sites. We drive an e150 and had no trouble getting to the site, and we saw some other vans, along with RVs and tents. Be careful of ticks! We woke up to one in our bed…

Coos Canyon

Campground is quite nice, near the canyon. Stayed in lower campground. Roads are very rough so difficult to drive on, at night the grounds are totally pitch dark and far from bathhouse. There is one outhouse available to use as well. Firewood is expensive at $8, and no it's not more wood than we've…

Wonderful Campground!

Papoose is a great campground. They have basically any time of site you could ever want, from tent only sites, to rentable cabins (multiple sizes) to cottages. I always stay at an HHK site - this has it's own personal bathroom with shower, and an outdoor stovetop and sink. It's great to have…

Cathedral Pines is claimed to be one of the most beautiful campgrounds by people all around the country. The space between the sites, mountain views, an campground in high demand. Very kid friendly. An abundance of outdoor activities right out your door. Highly recommend!!!!

Loved this campground!

Our family had a wonderful time here! Angel Falls was amazing, Coos Canyon is awesome, and the local views are stunning. Friendly staff and quiet campground.

Decent place, long-time staple, but that may be its downfall

First day, my wife was helping our 5 year old climb onto the float like the big kids. 5 minutes later, management came over and said, "I heard you were pulling my float in." No sense of customer relations, just rude. My wife clearly cannot move a float. Even if she could, shouldn't it be chained to…

Hidden Gem

I found this campground online by chance one evening. I was skeptical of the waterfront site I was able to book because the reviews weren’t great. I was stunned! This little campground is a true hidden gem. The fellow campers are friendly and kind. Everyone respected quiet hours and the bathrooms…

Best managed campground!

I have stayed in many many campgrounds, but this was far and away the best run place I have ever visited. The owner, Mo, is amazing and is friendly and runs a quiet, clean and easygoing campground. Bathrooms are spacious and spotless. We got lots of great recommendations for hikes and swimming…

What camping in a campground should be!

We loved this place! Jeff, Cheri and Autumn, the owners for the last 3 years, are terrific people who LOVE THEIR campground and it shows! They are happy to stop and share information on whatever you want to talk about. They place has a wonderful energy about it. The Coos Canyon is adjacent to…

Used to be a seasonal

I really enjoyed this campground when I was a seasonal. I've stayed a handful of times as a transient. So I'm probably biased, but this campground is awesome. They have a few activities here and there throughout the weekend, but it's largely up to you to entertain yourself. I know it's a bit…
