Within White Mountain National Forest, Bull Brook Road provides free dispersed camping along a forested corridor near the river. The US Forest Service manages this drive-in site where campers can bring pets and enjoy campfires without reservation fees.
Multiple camping spots spread out along the access road, accommodating various vehicle types from E150 vans to RVs and tents. One camper noted arriving late in June and finding "one of the last available spots for the night" among "a number of decently spaced out sites." The road surface handles standard passenger vehicles and larger rigs without difficulty.
Ticks present a notable consideration during warmer months. As one reviewer warned, "Be careful of ticks! We woke up to one in our bed and had to shake everything out." Despite this wildlife reality, the forested setting maintains its appeal for campers seeking no-cost overnight stays. Even when all sites fill up, the spacing allows for reasonable privacy between groups.
For campers wanting developed facilities, White Mountains Camping on Little Larry Road sits just under two miles north with full amenities and hookups.
