This is a beautiful campground for those that love natural settings. Lot's of wooded campsites for tents or RVs. I'm guessing 80% of the sites are for tents, pop ups and small trailers. The overall campground is huge with lot's of open farm fields. Plenty of activities available but it's not a "resort" campground.

My wife and I enjoy riding our bikes on rail trails. This quiet campground is about a mile from the Eastern Trail through the Scarborough Marsh. This campground is small but well maintained. We had a "seasonal" site for two nights in September. It was very large and level with a picnic table and fire ring. The owners spend a lot of time on site making sure everything is in order.

If you want to ride ATV trails, fish and swim in the Kennebec River, ride mountain bikes on the Kennebec rail trail this is a great place to stay. The down side is the truck traffic on the nearby roads. The campground is near an intersection so logging trucks slow and accelerate nearby starting early in the morning.

What an incredible campground! Very quiet, at least in Sept. Very, very clean. Our huge site on the water was raked clean before we arrived. I said "huge", other campgrounds would have made 3 sites from the one we had. Access to Flagstaff lake is part of the campground with a boat launch/beach. Woods roads and trail galore. We'll be back!

We stayed here in mid-Sept in our class a. This campground was a complete joy! It's the quietest place we've been. No traffic noise from outside. The path to Pemaquid beach is right at the end of the driveway and not much further to the historic fort. The Pemaquid Point lighthouse is 15 minutes away. Much of the campground is occupied seasonally. We had no trouble getting a level site with several more available.

This campground is a decent place for a home base while exploring the region.

Tented here 30 years ago and in a motor home this year. It's a nice place on the lake. Nice beach with little seating coves along the waters edge, offers a little privacy. There is a tiny marina, docks for small boats. There are a lot of seasonal campers. We stayed mid-week so we don't know how bust the weekends are. There are miles of logging roads across route 16 that are great for bikes. I'd stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay here in our motor home. The deck on the ocean is a great place to picnic. Rockport harbor is a short bike ride away with a beautiful ocean side road. Ask the harbor master for directions. The only downside to this campground is traffic noise from Route! Not bad at night but it does start early in the morning. I would still stay there again.

It's all about the view! It's also a big rig haven. Sites are close together in a grassy area but all have views of the ocean. There is a wide grassy area across from the sites and right on the waters edge. Picnic tables and fire pits.

With the ocean just outside our RV the location is hard to beat.

A little bit unusual in that you can't make a reservation. We were able to drop in and get a nice RV site. Spent two comfortable nights. Rode our bicycles to Bar Harbor, a little over 12 miles round trip.

We've stayed here twice. It's a very well maintained rustic campground on the Magalloway river. Some of the best brook trout and landlocked salmon fishing nearby. Great place for canoe or kayak trips. Make sure you are well provisioned before arriving, there are no supplies nearby.
