First time camping with a camper.

Had a wonderful 4 days at Duck Puddle. An amazing view of the lake from a site that was very level. The staff were all friendly and the facilities were clean and stocked. Can’t wait to come back!

Centrally located

I am not an rv parking lot kind of person so I really like this campground. It looks like the sites are on top of each other online but they r better than most the way they are arranged. We could have chosen lakefront but they were just water and electric and since we were staying 4 days we chose the full hookup in a nicely wooded site. There is a place to put your boat in if you have it, laundry, dock, fishing, camp store and I thought a great playground and field are if u have kids with u and clean restrooms

Decent place, long-time staple, but that may be its downfall

First day, my wife was helping our 5 year old climb onto the float like the big kids. 5 minutes later, management came over and said, "I heard you were pulling my float in." No sense of customer relations, just rude. My wife clearly cannot move a float. Even if she could, shouldn't it be chained to the lake floor?

Pros: Water at all sites Lake swimming with float Events Family friendly Office folk are friendly

Cons: Many tent sites are tiny, ours wasn't too bad Live band went past quiet time Many rules are ignored by management Other camp crew unfriendly Playground not updated since the 80s Game room is 6 claw machines, 2 arcade games, and a broken jukebox packed in a tiny room

The camping was decent, but we will not be back.

Friendly Campground

We've stayed at Duck Puddle several times over the years. The sites have always been tidy and staff friendly. Tent sites are close together but comfortable and the location is very convenient to Damriscotta and other downeast towns.

2nd trip this year

Our second trip was better than our first. I can not say enough how friendly everyone is here. And great live music with large bonfire with many kid’s activities. Will be planning another trip for sure

Great place to stay!

This was our first time at this campground and we were very pleased! The staff and owners are very nice people and helpful. Great beach for swimming, playground for playing. We have already booked our next trip in a few weeks!

Overpriced

This campground is overpriced for the location, amenities and condition of the sites. The lay of the land is sloped and they need to improve drainage of run off. The site was very wet with standing water making most of the site unusable. The post that the electrical box and water was hooked to was in standing water. The water hose coming out of the ground had a leak and was spurting out water. I was given a price and paid half at time of booking. Upon arriving at campground I was charged additional fees. When asking why I was being charged so much more than what I was originally told the explanation was I don't know. I had to push to get this info. It boiled down to that I had changed my reservation due to a conflict. At that time I was never advised of a price change so what a shock upon arrival. I pushed back I was told sorry it is what it is. I was a first time visitor to this campground and will not be returning.

great spot!

We actually got married here. We stayed in the cabins and a few of our guests camped. Obviously we’re fond of it for emotional reasons but it’s also just a great spot. The owners are great people. The store is well stocked, and there are a ton of amenities. It’s also close to other fun coastal towns. Definitely worth a visit.
