We had a wonderful stay at The Farm RV Resort. The peaceful, countryside setting was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The spacious, level sites were well-maintained, and the full hook-ups made our stay convenient and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was incredibly relaxing. We had a fantastic stay at The Farm RV Resort in December. The resort's peaceful, wintery landscape provided the perfect setting for a quiet getaway. The sites were spacious and well-maintained, and the full hook-ups made our stay easy and comfortable. The resort has a rustic charm that makes you feel like you’re getting away from it all, yet it still provides modern amenities. One of the highlights of our stay was the peaceful atmosphere. The surrounding farm landscape, with its rolling fields and calm breeze, is perfect for those who enjoy the quiet outdoors. We spent our evenings watching sunsets, enjoying the fresh air, and even taking walks around the grounds. For those looking for activities, the resort offers a variety of fun options. There’s a cozy clubhouse with games and a small store for essentials, plus a community fire pit where guests can gather and share stories under the stars. Stayed 2 nights mid week and campground wasn’t busy. Many nice tent sites and also good level RV sites. Easy access to hiking. Helpful resident manager. Management by Thousand Trails, although the campground is not associated at all with Thousand Trails. No reservations accepted. Self register and pay at the entrance.

Been here many times. Lots of activities lots of shade. Sometimes hard to get full hook ups.

Enjoyed this campground as a quick one night stop during the winter.   I think it could seem crowded in the peak season when it is full. 

Decent WIFI which was a big plus and, while we stayed in a full hook up site, the dump station was well positioned and easy to navigate.

The playground, mini golf, bath houses, and the multipurpose room in one of the buildings all looked well maintained and very nice.

This place has some fascinating history and a unique outdoor summer stock theater experience. The oldest outdoor theater in Kentucky with 5 productions running through the summer months. Definitely a good time and casual dining evening with stories of many famous faces that have graced the stage: John Travolta, Lee Majors, Jim Varney...to name a few. The campground has 35 sites with little elbow room; all have electric(30 amp) and water, gravel/grass pads, shower facilities and bathrooms, and they do have a"rustic" dump station. Many of the sites seem to have long term tenants...so this is best for a one night stop and a show. The town of Danville has what you need for supplies and dining, loads of historical sites in the area and of course there is a Bourbon Distillery that must make the list of activities. pioneerplayhouse.com/visit-us/campground/

There are two campgrounds within Natural Bridge State Resort Park—Whittleton and Middlefork. Three friends and I stayed at Middlefork, with a tent site right along the Middlefork Creek. The front part of this campground is RV/hookup, and you have to go over this hill to get to the primitive sites. The bathroom (toilets, showers, sinks) was decently kept (facilities were in the front half of the campground so we had to walk over that hill to get to it). We were able to purchase firewood on the grounds. The sites were pretty well spread out, but if you're looking to hang a hammock, it's not the most ideal spot with the trees tucked away or spread really far apart. We were a short drive from the park/bridge and several other hiking opportunities. The bridge was definitely busy, even at the end of September, but all of the trails we were on otherwise were pretty quiet. You can access some trails in the Daniel Boone National Forest by the Whittleton Campground. Overall, we had a great time, and plan to return!

You won't find full hookups or fancy bath houses, but what this campground lacks in amenities it makes up in scenic beauty.  The campground has several trails, ranging in length, that let you explore some of the natural beauty of Red River Gorge.  Sites are first come, first serve - which can be a pain…but if you plan for a Thursday / Friday morning arrival you shouldn't have a problem. Sites are well spaced and have major trees.  The majority of campers were in tents, but there are a few sites that would work well for RVs.  Some vault restrooms with a central bath house (showers, flush toilets, etc.) - nothing fancy, but gets the job done. Venture out of the campground and enjoy all Red River Gorge has to offer!

My husband and I stayed there for 8 months through the fall and winter of 2018 into the spring of 2019. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have really worked hard to bring this campground back to a place you would like to stay. There are several who are residents there and are very nice as well. They do have camper storage at the top of the property which does have some older, broken-down looking units but also some very nice ones too. Full hook-ups for $395/mo if you are staying monthly. The only down-side to the stay was the husband of the couple that own it. He isn't very friendly at all. Our first night there, the electric went out at our pole and he kept trying to blame it on our RV when it turned out it was the main breaker for our line of electric poles and was his issue. He never apologized and was not nice at all. Any time he is there(which is very rarely) he is just an unhappy person. His wife is wonderful as are all the regular staff. I wouldn't let him keep you from staying there as he is not there normally but just know that his demeanor isn't the best. We have 4 dogs and they were very welcomed by everyone. The pool is nice although they do sell memberships to it for outside folks to use which means there can be a lot of people there on a holiday or very warm day. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and we would definitely stay there again if need be.

I stayed here for two night and enjoyed my time. RV spots are a little close to your neighbor but it was quiet and peaceful. This is a great spot if you don't mind not having a network connection or Wi-Fi. Spot comes with an electrical hook-up, water, fire pit, and a picnic table. There are also bathrooms and showers and outdoor trash cans to throw away your garbage. I highly recommend this campsite. I had a great time.

Easy to find, well marked. It’s has many (12) trails and many falls. Would definitely recommend shopping before camping, it’s several miles, and mountains, to get to stores. There are several lodging options…cottages, The Lodge, (which is beautiful) tent and RV camping. There are 2 small campgrounds ~ 1) Ridgeline which accommodates RVs up to 26”, water and 10/30/50 amp hook ups. Sites have a fire ring and picnic table. WiFi is available, and there is a dump station. A small playground, office/campstore, and a bathhouse and laundry next to it. 3 sites are walk-in. Big rigs would have to stay elsewhere. 2) Clifty Campground is tent camping only 7 sites offer electric and water. WiFi is also offered. There is a bathhouse and a playground, and these CG’s are pet friendly. (Falls Creek is a few miles up the road…they have pull through and back ins. For bigger Rvs. They also have tents, wagons, cabin rentals, and primitive sites) We had no T-Mobile service, or satellite service in our vehicle. The trails and Cumberland falls were awesome. The horse rides looked amazing, and the Pool was big, with a diving board, and a small fee for campers to use it.

We enjoyed our stay at Camp Nelson RV Park.  It's a smaller(ish) park with quite a few permanent sites.  A lot of the permanent sites are older campers in need of some TLC. 

The campground has a very nice pool and is very quiet.  A bit tight for larger rigs (ours is a 40' DP).  The owner is very friendly and has several younger folks working there that are very friendly and accommodating.

There was a slight mix-up with our site when we arrived, but the young lady that was guiding us returned to the office and found us a very nice alternative site for the duration of our stay.  They have a small campground store at the office that is well supplied with the necessities.  Off the beaten path, quiet, and friendly....what more could you ask for???

This Corp of Engineer campground is a small quiet lakeside getaway. Our site was $25 per night with water and electricity hookup. No full hookups here and several tent only sites. No issues and overall a very quiet place. Showers were clean but kinda small as usual. The only drawback is climbing all the steps to get to them. However, there is one handicapped accessible shower/toilet with handicap parking. Nothing fancy about this place but the lake view, privacy, and sounds of nature make up for anything posh. Will definitely stay again.

Nice park on lake Cumberland. VERY busy in season. Doubt you'd get in without reservations. Bath houses available but we didn't check them out. Not the most level sites, but not too difficult to get leveled out. Would stay here again.

Clean, friendly, reasonable staff with lots of good options for all levels of cabins, camp sites, RV spots, etc. We went with a large group and had people staying in each of these and all were happy. We recommend the Eagle Falls Trail to view the Cumberland Falls and Eagle Falls without the crowds.

Stayed here two consecutive weekends, electric site only in the back (field - back in spaces). Was a little tight making our way to the back on the small road, but take it slow you’re ok.
Was quiet and all to ourselves first weekend, second was a Jeep invasion with many tents all in the sites. Great people, helpful and nice. Karaoke on Saturday nights (mostly kids). All the spaces up front full hookup are permanent campers. Close to all RRG hiking and dining, etc. would stay here again!

This place is such a fun place to hang out and just play in the water, the camp sites are within walking distance to the water, and a majority of the sites have full hookups
