South of Martinsville by 6.5 miles, Scout Ridge Youth Tent Campground sits within Morgan-Monroe State Forest's 24,000 acres of hardwood forest and rolling hills. This designated youth camping area restricts use to organized groups under 18 years old with adult supervision.
The campground provides primitive tent sites without hookups or individual restrooms. Groups must coordinate reservations through the state forest office, as walk-in camping is not permitted. Several other campgrounds around Morgan - Monroe State Forest operate nearby for family and adult camping. Spring through fall offers the most comfortable conditions, though sites remain open year-round depending on weather and road conditions.

Scout Ridge Youth Tent Campground is available for scouts or other groups. The six sites in Scout Ridge Campground are larger than regular campground sites and there are several picnic tables and grills available. Scout Ridge Nature Preserve is located in this area.
