Bowl and Pitcher Campground — Riverside State Park

We really enjoyed this Camp Grounds with full hook ups. The campsites are very well kept and maintained have shower houses Trash plenty of places to walk and you’re right on the river. I had good cell service and Stoffer very helpful

We love this campground, best sites down by the river. Have to reserve early, very popular. Lots of wild life. Camp Host helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at this CCC built state park.
Sites one through 18 are on the river and much more spacious and have full utilities. We enjoyed the beauty of the Spokane River, walking across the suspension bridge and hiking the trails. The mosquitoes on the trail were very present, but in the campground we saw very few. There are flush toilets and warm showers. TMobile cell service was surprisingly slow given our proximity to Spokane. We did not have reservations beforehand and got the last space available on a Monday, Advise reservations. I rated the campground at four because of it’s expense and because the sites on the upper loop are a little tight.

Well, it was a beautiful area , with great scenery but if you have kids under 10 yrs old there is absolutely nothing for them to do. I mean NOTHING. We won't go back. We never saw a single staff member or volunteer in 3 days.

I love camping at Bowl and Pitcher at least once a year. It's a well kept campground in a gorgeous state park with great hiking and walking trails! I strongly suggest campsite 24 for tent campers, it is the one I always get when I camp here. It is large, nicely shaded, and more private than a lot of the other campsites at the campground.

The campsite was in great shape, and neighbors were super respectful. Only complaint would be car noise (we stayed right by the road though), but it wasn’t that bad. Bathrooms were in AMAZING condition and staff was so friendly.

While in a beautiful setting with a lot of hiking & biking trails around, the loops part of this campground have the sites close together with no privacy. We were happy to see a heavy presence of Park Rangers over 4th of July weekend. If you're used to dispersed camping, you won't be happy with how close your neighbors are. Maybe it's the perfect campground for non-busy times.

If you want to camp but still be close to all the city amenities then this is the spot for you. Beautiful location by the river with miles of biking & walking trails.

Cons: campsites are very close together with no privacy. If you are looking for an "off the grid" vibe, this is definitely NOT your spot.

The Bowl and Pitcher campground sits on the Spokane river just minutes from downtown Spokane. It doesn’t feel like it’s close to town. The area offers miles of hiking and biking trails. The campground has rv sites with water and electricity and tent camping sites. There’s a dump station too.

Very nice spot for an overnight or a few days. There’s a lot of hiking trails around here. Don’t forget tour Discover Pass.

Did not have reservations but got lucky with an open site. Make a reservation ahead of time if you want to be guaranteed a site. The campground is full and a bit loud. But very clean and well maintained, including the bathrooms. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. Multiple water spigots close by. Lots of walking trails nearby and a cool suspension bridge over the river. Other than the lack of solitude, absolutely no complaints.

Great trails along the river adjacent to the campground. Warm showers cost a dollar or two, but they're clean and the bathrooms are clean. Would get five stars if the camping sites were more private.

Beautiful campground on the Spokane River. Hiking and biking trails from the campground. Vintage CCC buildings and suspension bridge. Very nice and clean bathrooms and showers.

I liked this campground and found it clean with generous-sized sites. The river runs through this site, there is a cool suspension bridge to check out as well as some amazing rock structures nearby. I have a couple of issues with it, one the sewage treatment plant is about a mile upstream. So, it's just hard to get excited about jumping in the river with that in mind. Two, it's a little difficult getting in and out of the campground for those of us with trailers and RV's, as the road in/out is narrow and without much of a shoulder. Other than that, it seems well run, is safe & clean with good bathrooms and showers.

I spent one night here at the Bowl & Pitcher area. I was in the tent area with no hook-ups, but the lower area for RVs looks much nicer. It's very close to the day use area, so lots of people coming through on a Sunday. No privacy between sites, but a super nice park with lots of hiking, right on the beautiful Spokane river and super close to town.

As a Spokane local, I spend a lot of time in riverside with my family. We thought a night camping there would be a fun way to wrap up spring break. The bathhouse is dated but clean, the access to hiking and biking is fantastic, and there are nice sandy swimming holes just down at the river. The only downside is that the sites are relatively small and close together. We didn’t have a level spot large enough for our Big Agnes Big House 6, and I could have flicked a pebble from our site and hit our neighbors loud generator. If access is your priority, this is perfect. If space and quiet is it, this one is lacking. For us, the access makes it worth it.

Beautiful park right on the Spokane River with lots of hiking. Very clean and well maintained. The park rangers were friendly and helpful. We will stay here again!

We actually live right down the road from this park and now a days, hike here regularly. But back in the day, we camped here a few times when a big vacation was not an option. This is a nice little campground with plenty of tent sites and trails to check out.  It is really close to Spokane but is nestled in such a way that you would not realize the city is there.  Can be dry and hot in the summer but in the fringe seasons, it is a great place to visit.

This is a beautiful location with great trails.  It is a short walk to the river where there is great fishing.  Bathrooms were clean and the park overall was super nice.  We pulled in around 4pm and were quickly greeted by the camp host once we had chosen a site.  We explained we wanted to stay two nights without a reservation.  He took some info from us had some small chat and that was it.  The following morning around 830am we were promptly greeted by a female park ranger who returned our second days payment.  She said the site was booked for tonight and we had to move next to the bathrooms or next to a family of 6 kids.  We asked why the host would not be aware of the booking and that we had explained our intensions to him.  She had no explanation and told us if we decided to stay to fill out another slip and deposit it.  This left a bad taste in our mouth for sure and we left.

This campground is close to town and close to some wonderful hiking areas if you’re looking to explore Riverside State Park or downtown Spokane. It also has nice bathrooms with showers and flush toilets. We stayed in one of the standard sites, site 18 and it was right on the road into the park so there was a lot of traffic going by all day. The sites in the upper area are very close together without any tree cover so there’s no privacy from your neighboring campers or those driving by to visit the park. We checked out the lower sites that are along the river and have hookups and they looked a lot nicer, more spacious and with a better view (but the camp host said they’re $45 a night and they book up fast).

Riverside State Park has a magnificent equestrian campground on the west side of the river.  The main campground has electrical hookups, horse corrals & pit toilets.  With permission, overflow camping is available by the arena facility and readily accommodates "high lines" for your horses.  Many miles of trails intersect at this point, or close by.  There are many hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking and even ORV activities in this huge park.  We visit frequently, but spring and fall are probably the most scenic times.

Just a beatiful park! Lots of hiking trails and wildlife viewing. The swinging bridge is awesome. Popular area. The bathrooms are nice, the river is beautiful. Campsites are a little small.

Bowl and Pitcher campground has several partial-hookup sites with electricity and water, and several with no hook ups. There is a dump station, and two restrooms both with showers. The largest site length is 45 feet, so large RVs won’t fit. Reservations can be made online. It is very close to the city, so you can eat out if you don’t want to cook. Lots if hiking trails along the Spokane River.

This is a larger campground great for RV, trailers and tents. The sites are enclosed in a circle, making a nice walk or bike ride. The campgroundl has partial hook ups and is very camper friendly otherwise.

Sites are pretty open not offering a good amount of privacy, though most are along the Spokane River. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring, with bbq grate. The site has showers and flushing toilets!!

This is a perfect getaway for people looking to unplug as no cell service (tested on sprint, verizon, and google fi) is available. There is tons of wildlife and lots of trails and riverbank to explore.my favorite thing was the suspension bridge over the river. Lots of space for swimming and fishing!

Close to town 🌆 this Park is nice to get away for the day. I love the swinging bridge 🌉. However camping 🏕 here is very simple with basic facilities and the campsites all in the dirt. A great place to hike 🚶but not my favorite campsite ⛺.

This is a place that my family and I visit a lot. We love how calm the river is and the convenience of bringing it dogs. There is a nice cement slab just in the water so it makes a safe place for kids.

Great location by the river. Tons of great hikes in the park. Sites are primitive, but there are bathrooms and showers available. Campsite is beautiful year round.
