Willow Creek Retreat

About

Willow Creek Retreat is a private nature retreat on a farmstead on the West Plains of Spokane County, conveniently located 5 minutes from the Spokane International Airport. Situated on 20 acres with abundant trees and a year-round creek dappled with wildflowers. Boasting shaded campsites, abundant bird songs, and bird watching opportunities including blue heron, hawks, great horned owl, quail, ducks, turkeys, pheasants, and a creek full of frogs for the kids to catch and friendly horses to watch. Each evening, listen to the coyotes howl, the owls hoot, crickets chirp, frogs croak (in spring/early summer), and the gentle ambling of the occasional short train that crosses the track on the nearby spur. So-so

The host Rachael seemed nice enough, but there were many unpleasant surprises. First she had us switch to another platform (hip camp) which resulted in a $20 up charge. Also, there were 2 airports and a railroad nearby, all in operation. It was a pretty place and off the interstate, and seemed to be the best option for our 1-night stopover. We’ll look elsewhere next time.

I apologize for the price discrepancy. I don’t always keep this listing current. It was coped by the Dyrt from my hipcamp page a year ago before we installed water and increased our prices. This has been corrected and my prices are current. We try and stay on one camping platform for booking. We have occasional air and train traffic. It’s not constant and mostly peaceful. Thanks for staying!

Slice of Paradise!!

Just gorgeous. I loved it here as did my fiancé- being out in a beautiful open space but nestled under a willow tree, sites are nicely spaced out. I loved being out near the pastures, with plenty of adorable and sweet animals. The host is so kind and responsive and I am so grateful to her for opening the property up to campers :) 12/10!!

Super cute campground

Small quiet campground, very clean, fun atmosphere. Host was great and messaged us and made sure we knew how to get there. There is an airport near by but I only heard one plane during our stay! Would love to stay here longer next time!

Lovely pasture, good vibes

This is five acres in a lovely pasture by a creek with large trees. There is 30 amp electricity and a porta-potty. The host is a good communicator. Sites are big and grassy. Relaxed and quiet place.

Picturesque country atmosphere

We were on our way to Yellowstone with our vintage trailer and three boys. Rachel greeted us right away, was very friendly and welcoming. Her property was picturesque, her Arabian Horses roamed in her pasture, the property was large and private, we were even able to set up our hammock between two trees. She has new picnic tables, a fire pit, and beautiful Russian Olive trees for shade. The sunsets and sun rises were magnificent. I HIGHLY recommend Willow Creek.
